| A Summer Country Dancing event will be held at the Halsway Manor National Centre for Folk Arts in Crowcombe, Somerset, England from July 22nd at 4pm to 26th at 10am, 2024. The event will “be a week of lively dance encompassing all forms of social folk dancing… with the opportunity to enjoy American and British contra as well as traditional English, Playford and American squares.” There will be dances each evening and workshops in the mornings. Musicians are encouraged to bring instruments for regular jam sessions. Music will be provided by Ali Messer (accordion), Jane Harrison (fiddle), Meg Winters (guitar) who will perform with contra dance caller Mark Elvins.
