 The City of Osimo hosted the first edition of the High Improvement Musical Masterclasses for some 25 students at the Accademia d’Arte Lirica from July 9th to 13th under the artistic direction of Dario Flammini and Mirco Patarini.The Masterclasses were held in four sections: - “Classical Accordion” incorporated an advanced course and a medium level course instructed by Friedrich Lips (Russia), Mirco Patarini (Italy), Dario Flammini (Italy), Vojin Vasovic (Serbia), and Germano Scurti (Italy). - “Jazz/Modern Accordion” by Antonio Spaccarotella (Italy). - “Bandoneon” by Fabio Furia (Italy) and Gianni Iorio (Italy) - “Stylistic interpretation of Tango” by Gianni Iorio (Italy). A wide variety of concerts were given by Duo Gabriele Mirabassi (clarinet) and Simone Zanchini, Jef De Haes, Andrea di Giacomo, Bandoneon, Fernando Gabriele Mangifesta, Walter di Girolamo, and Fuccelli Fisarmony. For information on the masterclass tutors and performers download: 2019OsimoMasterclass.pdf These workshops, now in the second edition, have been strongly supported by the Osimo municipal administration which, it should be remembered, hosted in 2017 the 70th edition of the Coupe Mondiale (CIA). The grand finale was in the Piazza Boccolino with the Fuccelly Fisarmony closing an event much appreciated by the local citizens. The event was realised by the Italian Accordion Culture association with the support of the Municipality of Osimo and the Marche Region, the companies Scandalli and Pigini, the Instituto Campana, Accademia d'Arte Lirica and Strumenti & Musica. |
