| The New Zealand Accordion Association (NZAA) has the following planned for World Accordion Day: on Sunday May 6th the Music Makers group of young accordionists aged 6 to 11 from Auckland, New Zealand, are playing in support of the school, Churchill Park Primary, that 2 of the players attend. An arsonist burnt down the school hall and a fundraising fair is being held to build another hall. Two of the players’ fathers, Maurice Jones and Lionel Reekie, are professional accordionists, forming the ‘Starlight Duo’ (picture below), will also perform. This will be videoed for live streaming from the school with the children doing the videoing and IT with the new equipment purchased after the fire.
