Latvian accordionist Ksenija Sidorova makes her Australian debut with three concerts next week followed by some dates in Germany in December and January, as follows: Australia Sunday December 2nd, doors open 2pm – UKARIA, Mount Barker, South Australia Tuesday December 4th, doors open 7.30pm – Elisabeth Murdoch Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre, Melbourne, Victoria Sunday December 9th, doors open 3pm – Utzon Room, Sydney Opera House, NSW Germany Thursday December 20th – Stadtheater, Furth, Germany Friday December 21st, doors open 7pm – Leiderhalle Mozartsaal, Stuttgart, Germany Monday January 7th, doors open 6pm - Schloss Elmau, Elmau, Germany Thursday January 10th, doors open 8pm - Kolner Philharmonie, Cologne, Germany Sunday January 27th, doors open 8pm - Audimax Der Universitat, Regensburg, Germany Monday January 28th, doors open 8pm - Kongresszentrum Heinrich-Lades-Halle, Erlangen, Germany Ksenija Sidorova, now based in Spain, started to play the accordion aged eight under the guidance of Marija Gasele in her hometown of Riga. She later studied in London at the Royal Academy of Music under Professor Owen Murray. She subsequently received her Masters Degree with Distinction, and has since pursued a highly successful worldwide career. |
