 The London Accordion Orchestra (MD Ian Watson) performs in concert on Saturday lunchtime December 1st, 12-2pm, at the Union Chapel, 19B Compton Terrace, Islington, London N1 2UN.The London Accordion Orchestra (previously the Morley Accordion Orchestra) was formed in 1999 with the aim of promoting and performing compositions for accordion orchestra, as well as to develop players of the instrument. The main orchestra focuses on playing original repertoire and commissions composers to write new works specifically for the London Accordion Orchestra. The orchestra released their new album ‘Flight’ with original compositions for accordion orchestra on Sotones Records in March 2017. The album was recorded at the world-famous EMI Abbey Road Studios and is available from the LAO’s online store. |
