New CD by accordionist Evgeniy Kochetov released, Rīga - Lativaby Rob Howard |
 The Oclassica record label, based in Riga, Lativa, has released a new digital CD, ‘Frescos’, by the brilliant Russian accordionist Evgeniy Kochetov (born 1980). This album presents the best known compositions by Viatcheslav Semionov, and ‘Frescos’, a concerto for bayan, chamber orchestra and percussion. The recording was made during concert sessions in Voronezh, Russia, in March 2006 with Chamber Orchestra of the Voronezh State Academy of Arts and conductor Alexandr Gura. Evgeniy Kochetov says about the album: "The idea behind the ‘Frescos’ is very important for me. Need in spiritual values is becoming vital while everything around is getting more and more materially concerned. With this album I want to draw attention to the everyone's personal inner world."
