2016 Australian International Accordion Championships and Festival - Australiaby Harley Jones |

 Entry closing date is 1st May for the 2016 Australian International Accordion Championships and Festival, taking place on June11th and 12th at the Club Marconi, Sydney, New South Wales. AATA President Tatjana Marx warmly welcomes Australian and international contestants and supporters to the 2016 AATA Festival. Well known accordion/vocal performer Lionel Reekie from New Zealand and the Jaga Band (violin, accordion, cimbalom, flute & double bass) plus AATA International competition winners, will be featured at the 2016 Gala Concert on Sunday afternoon. The concert has music for all tastes, with a continental twist! Rules and regulations for the international competition categories are online at: AATA. A number of these categories have the same rules as the equivalent Coupe Mondiale categories. Sunday Workshop: A workshop with Elena Reekie designed to develop the basics of improvisation, harmony and applying your skills to the accordion. A workshop for all ages and levels.
