From 21 to 27 June, Frédéric Deschamps (picture left) was invited by Prof. Li Cong (picture right) and Assoc. Prof. Crystal Wang (picture right) of the Music College of Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) for masterclasses. The masterclasses were to assist the preparation of Chinese accordionists who will be competing at the 2011 Coupe Mondiale which is being held in Shanghai, from 1st to 6th October. Frédéric Deschamps is officially a "Guest Teacher" at the Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) for a period of two years. Next week, Frédéric Deschamps will go to Quan Xi (Southern China) for a visit to attend an accordion festival that is part of a long list of accordion art activities relating to the promotion and development of the 2011 Coupe Mondiale in Shanghai. After that, Frédéric Deschamps will go to Beijing for further masterclasses. |
