2009 CMA Trophée Mondial Dates Announced - Portugalby |
The 2009 Trophée Mondial will be held this year in Albufeira, Portugal, 23 to 26 September, organized by the Confédération Mondiale des Accordéonistes (CMA) and Portuguese Delegate Anibal Freire. Portugal has strong historical links to the CMA. It will be the sixth time that Portugal has hosted the Trophée Mondial: Caldas da Rainha in 1974 & 1985, Setubal in 1993, Faro in 1996 and Alcobaçao in 2000. This September, the Trophée Mondial will be hosted in Albufeira, a beautiful city situated on the seafront of Southern Portugal. Organizer Anibal Freire was a former candidate having won the Junior classic in 1972 in San Sebastian (Spain) and the Senior Classic in 1974 in Caldas de Rainha (Portugal).
