 This International Festival is for players of accordion, bayan, various types of harmonicas, ensembles and harmonica orchestras.The competition is held to develop and support children's and youth creativity. The competition aims at the preservation and development of folk instrumental traditions of the performing arts of the peoples of Russia. The main objectives of the competition are to identify and support talented children and young musicians who have dedicated themselves to playing folk instruments; to the promotion of creative achievements in the field of the development of performing art on Russian folk instruments and national instruments of the peoples of Russia; the acquaintance with national musical cultures and traditions of peoples of different countries; and the formation and education of artistic taste, positive social attitudes and the interests of the younger generation; the introduction of the largest number of children, adolescents and young people to the best cultural and spiritual traditions. Winner of the solo category for performers aged 13 – 15 years was Mathias Rugsveen. See above for a video of his performance. |
