‘14 Years Ago’ – Accordion Article from Mexico contributed in 1999

The Tex-Mex Sound
The Accordions Worldwide news for the week ending April 30th 1999 included an item, titled Accordion Article, stating that an article about Tex-Mex music had become available on this website.

Tex-Mex is the regional accordion-led genre popular in Texas, and the article (still available to read) explains its origins. On the Accordions Worldwide home page, under ‘Publications’ on the right hand side, is ‘Articles’.

This constantly expanding sections currently has no less than 66 articles on wide ranging accordion-related topics – a considerable educational resource.
