| The 2011 South Pacific International & New Zealand National Accordion Championships & Festival takes place over the weekend of June 4th and 5th in Auckland. The venue is the high quality Raye Freedman Arts Centre, Epsom Girls Grammar School, Silver Rd, Epsom, Auckland with excellent lighting and sound. The Prospectus is now online: 2011 NZ Prospectus. This year promises to be a most exciting event with the NZAA 40th Anniversary Celebration, and plans are underway to invite our previous NZ Accordion Champions to attend. New Zealand’s World Champion Grayson Masefield will perform in concert on Saturday afternoon. All NZAA Life Members and past NZ Solo Accordion Champions and NZ Championship orchestra conductors are being invited to the festival to recognise their achievements. There will be a 40th Anniversary NZ Accordion Orchestra conducted by composer Gary Daverne. There will be a special dinner to honour John Statham who is retiring as the NZAA President after 27 years in the position.
