 The First National Trofeo Competition for accordion in Chile is being held this weekend 23rd to 25th November in Santiago with contestants participating from many regions of Chile including Patagonia.International guests are Frederic Deschamps (France) and multi world champion Grayson Masefield (New Zealand). Other guest artists are Ignacio Hernandez (Chile) Victor Hugo Campusano (Chile), Aldo Taborda (Argentina) and Felipe Granemann (Brazil), Sergio Polansky (Chile), Lauro Valerio (Brazil), Adelqui Bertotto (Argentina) and Norberto Pinotti (Argentina) and Ernesto Calderon's group Ensamble Transatlantico de Folk Chileno (picture below). The event is being organised by Ernesto Calderon (Chilean delegate of Trophee Mondiale - picture left) and the Conservatorio Nacional de Acordeon of Chile. Next week, Frederic Deschamps will be holding seminars and Grayson Masefield is performing concerts of classical music and virtuoso entertainment music in Santiago and Valparaiso.
