  Concert starts 14.40 - Live broadcast. Concert of the Bayanist Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Conservatory. May 16, 2021The V All-Russian Open Competition of Performers on Folk Instruments named after I.Y. Panitsky of the Russian Ministry of Culture was held in the halls of the Saratov State Conservatory, L.V. Sobinov in Saratov, Russia from May 14th to 19th, 2021. The delegation was headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Folk Instruments, the head of the Bayan and Accordion Department, and honored artist of Russia, Professor O. M. Sharov, who addressed the audience with an opening speech and took part in other events of the forum. Friedrich Lips (picture above right) was Head of the Jury at this competition and other jury members included Elena Sidorova, Vyacheslav Bondarenko, Grachev Vladimir, Yuri Gurevich and Faizullin Abuzar. Solo and ensemble performing skills were demonstrated by the winners of international competitions F. Lviv (class of Associate Professor V.I. Zaviryuhi), A. Malkhasian (class of Professor V.E. Orlov), "AccoGously Duo" I. Kistin and L. Startsev (class of Professor Dmitriev A.I.). As part of the event, a successful concert was given by the orchestra of bayanists and accordionists of SPBGK by N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov (chief and conductor - Associate Professor Artem Nizhnik). The orchestra performed compositions by Piazzolla, Runchak, McConen and Nizhnik.
