World Accordion Day promotional activities by the Macedonian Association of Accordionists ‘Ljubiteli na klasicnata muzika’ resulted in President, Professor Zorica Karakutovska, appearing live on National TV, Skopje TV stations as well as radio stations for interviews. Pictures and information at: 2011 Macedonia Additionally, the Macedonian Association of Accordionists published an article with information about the 3rd World Accordion Day, being held on the 182nd birthday of the accordion, which was published in all the major newspapers of Macedonia. A very successful concert celebrating World Accordion Day was held on the 6th of May which will be long remembered and was very well received by the large audience. The culmination of the concert was the performance of accordion trio consisting of Prof. Zorica Karakutovska and two students, the winners of the GRAND PRIX at the 49th National competition for chamber music, Bojan Volcevski and Filip Stamevski (duo Fi-Bo). The concert included a premiere performance of a new work by Macedonian composer Elizabeta Ilievska-Bete titled 'Variations' for clarinet, accordion and cello.
