Nuits de Nacre Accordion Festival, Tulle – Franceby Rob Howard |
The annual Nuits de Nacre festival, set for September 15th to 18th, is France’s biggest cultural and musical event dedicated to the accordion. For 4 days, the accordion is everywhere in Tulle, in the streets, on the terraces, cafes and public squares, under the marquees, in the concert halls, at the theatre. Les Nuits de Nacre offers around 90 concerts and activities, most of which are free. The repertoires and musical genres are as varied as the instrument allows: musette or gipsy jazz, rock, contemporary music, world music, and songs. The guests this year include Domi Emorine, William Sabatier, Steve Normandin (Canada), Balbazar, Roland Rominelli, Le Peuple Etincelle, Laurent Jarry, Herve Capel, and many more.
