Marco Lo Russo’s September 11th Commemoration Event, Trento – Italyby Rob Howard |
 2016 has brought many satisfactions for the accordionist and composer Marco Lo Russo. The prestigious and international Awards Orpheus for the CD ‘Cinematic’, at the beginning of the summer, which anticipated the signing with Universal Music, a large record label; the official release of the album ‘Vida Libre’ by the singer David Blanco, King of the Cuban Pop, has seen the special guest appearance of Marco Lo Russo with his music production company Rouge Sound Production, coordinated by Giulio Vinci.On the occasion of the commemoration of September 11th 2001 for the massacre of the Twin Towers in New York, Marco Lo Russo decided to dedicate a live concert to the memory of the victims of those terrible attacks. On September 11th Marco Lo Russo was the guest of honor, as well as the Artistic Director, at the eighth edition of the Great Festival of Music and Accordion in Grumes, Val di Cembra, Trento, Italy. At the concert Marco Lo Russo performed solos, and as a duo with Giulio Vinci at the piano and, in the best tradition of recent years, with other professionals and friends who also took part in the event.
