Premiere of the Cantata "Genesis" for Accordion, Percussion and Choir, Cantabria - Spainby Alejandro Martinez Ares |
 On May 26, 2012 will be the premiere performance in Laredo, Cantabria of the Cantata titled "Genesis" for accordion, percussion and choir. The composer, Israel Lopez Estelche (photo lower right) was born in 1983 in Santoña, Cantabria and has studied with composers such as Luis de Pablo, Cristobal Halffter, David del Puerto and others. He was recently awarded the Symphonic Composition "OSPA XX years" with his work De la eternidad Concéntrica. Israel L. Estelche is a big fan of the accordion and squeezes its multiple possibilities in a free language and eclectic style as the very nature of his latest work, Genesis. The premiere performers will be: Alejandro Martinez Ares (accordion - photo right), Jaime Moraga Vásquez (percussion) and Cantabria Chamber Choir (director: Jesús Manuel Piedra). The premiere will take place on May 26 at 20.00 hours in the Church of Santa Maria, Laredo, Cantabria and will undoubtedly be a very special day for lovers of good music.
