 Australian International Championships Daily Reports including photographs, results and the program are online. The event was held on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12 June at the Club Marconi in Sydney. The top solo category Australian International Open Accordion Solo Championships results were: 1st. Piao Zhen (China), 2nd. Zhu Zheng (China), 3rd. Jia Ru (China). Piao Zhen is a student of Prof. Wang Hongyu (picture right), Head of Keyboard Department of Music College of Harbin Normal University. The Gala Concert featured the: - Sydney Balalaika Orchestra directed by Victor Serghie including accordionists Richard She, Lina Chegodaev and Nick Scherbakov - Roland demonstrator Ross Maio, - Duo Aleksey Peresidliy (accordion) and Dmitriy Zhdanov (saxaphone) from Russia, - "The Accordigles" conducted by Steve Marx and the competition winners.
