 A Memorial Concert for Alexander Sevastian (1976-2018) takes place at Verkhnii Gorod, Minsk, the capital of Belarus, on Saturday November 17th, 7pm. Several leading accordionists, including the Paris Moscou Duo – Roman Jbanov and Domi Emorine, will perform in homage.Alexander Sevastian died suddenly on February 16th 2018 in Mexico during a tour of South America with the Quartetto Gelato. Alexander Sevastian’s many achievements including winning 2007 CIA Coupe Mondiale in Washington, DC. In 2001 he moved to Toronto, Canada, where he was a prominent and much admired accordionist. He has been widely mourned. Alexander is survived by his wife Anna, his children Vlad and Maria, his mother Nadya and brother Vitali. |
