Accordionist Tracey Collins will join the cast of popular “Operatunity” (professional opera singers) for their July and August tour of New Zealand entitled “Luck of the Irish”. Some New Zealand Accordion Association committee members attempted to buy tickets for the Orewa concert, Auckland, only to find that performance was already sold out! Operatunity’s tour will visit 26 venues nationwide from July 9th to August 13th, 2021, and will include “breath-taking ballads, jigs and jollity, you'll have Ireland in your heart to be sure, to be sure!” This show features jolly jigs like “When Irish Eyes are Smiling” and “If You’re Irish Come to the Parlour”, haunting ballads like “Danny Boy” and “Carrickfergus”, as well as nostalgic favourites like “A Little Bit of Heaven” and “How are Things in Glocca Morra?” Tickets are selling fast with some venues booked out.
