Alexander Selianov and Denis Chefanov Concert, Castelfidardo – Italy

Alexander Selianov (accordion) and Denis Chefanov (piano) perform in concert on Friday September 19th, 4pm, at the Salone degli Stemmi, City Hall, Castelfidardo.

Alexander Selivanov was born in 1979 in Kazan; after a long training with professor Viatcheslav Semionov at the Music Academy of “Gnessins”, this extraordinary accordionist developed different musical repertoires, from the classical music arrangements to the Russian folk music and even contemporary music.

He performs solo concerts and with orchestra, in Russia and in many other countries all over the world. Since 2003 he has been playing in duo “Una Sinistra” together with his partner Yulia Amerikova.

In addition to his concert career, Selivanov is an accordion teacher at the music academy of “Gnessins” (Moscow), and he is also committed to the organization of professional events like international competitions, master classes and festivals.

Winner of the Coupe Mondiale, Klingenthal competition, and of the International Award in Castelfidardo and of many other national and international competitions.

Denis Chefavon was born in the city of Tyumen (USSR) in1974. In 1992 he started his studies in the Concervatory of the state of Moscow, Tchaikovsky. After his studies, he started to teach and in 2007 he was granted the chair at the Thaikovsky Conservatory.

Denis Chefanov won the International Competition in Kil (Sweden) and the Gran Prix in Kiev (Ukraine).
