Martynas Levickis Hits Number 1 in the Classical Charts, London - UKby Rob Howard |
Lithuanian-born accordionist Martynas Levickis, a recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London, has reached number one in the UK classical charts with his new CD ‘Martynas’, published by Decca, outselling the likes of Katherine Jenkins and the London Symphony Orchestra. The winner of the TV show ‘Lithuania’s Got Talent’, Martynas Levickis is proving to be a great ambassador for the accordion, and his new CD includes popular classics and a mixture of other pieces including transcriptions of pop hits by Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
