 Hubert Deuringer (born 1924) is one of Germany’s most accomplished accordionists, and a teacher, arranger and conductor. Since 1945 he has been performing, broadcasting on German radio and TV, recording, and for many years led his own dance orchestra. He was also a lecturer in accordion style and improvisation at the Hohner Conservatory in Trossingen. A veteran recording artiste, extracts from several of Hubert Deuringer’s TV broadcasts have recently appeared on YouTube. A DVD of Deuringer’s performances is scheduled for release in April. Also, an LP of jazz and swing standards, ‘Swing & Happy’, made with the organist Klaus Wunderlich. |
