Angel Luis Castaño´s Concerts and Master Classes - Spainby Raquel Ruiz |
Spanish concert accordionist Angel Luis Castaño and guitarist and composer (National Music Award 2005) David del Puerto – as the Dúo Rejoice! - have successfully performed concerts together in Spain. In both concerts Angel Luis Castaño played solo and chamber music with accordion and bandoneon. The first concert was in St Eufemia Church in Ourense (Galicia) on June 26th. The concert, organised by the Galician Accordion Association, was included in the activities of the 52nd National Accordion Competition, held in Ourense from June 26th to 28th. Their program included works by Bahc, Chaviano, Del Puerto, Falla, Zubitzky, and Piazzolla. Second concert was on Saturday June 27th in the Leon Auditorium, as part of the International Spanish Music Festival. The program included the premiere of a new piece by Spanish composer Consuelo Díez, with other music by García Laborda, Del Puerto, Chaviano and Piazzolla. The next Dúo Rejoice!´s concert will be on September 24th in Cáceres in the Contemporary Music Festival organizated by Vostell Malpartida Museum. This summer Angel Luis Castaño will offer Accordion Master Classes in Oviedo (Asturias) in the seminar, July 21st to August 1st, organised by the Asturias Prince Foundation. During this seminar they offer Master Classes for students, concerts by professors and students, lectures, etc... Angel Luis Castaño also will play duo with Alan Kovacs (viola, Professor of CSMA in Zaragoza and Royal Superior Conservatory in Madrid) on August 8th in Segovia. The program will include music by Piazzolla, Sarasate, Falla, and Zubitzky. |
