2015 China Youth Accordion Year Opening Ceremony, Beijing - Chinaby Harley Jones |

 Video: Opening Ceremony Chinese Youth Accordion Orchestra conducted by Chen Weiliang performing the theme music for the 2015 China Youth Accordion Year titled "We All Love the Accordion". This work was composed for the 2015 China Youth Accordion Year by Zhang Tianyu.The Opening Ceremony of the 2015 China Youth Accordion Year and the Symposium of Accordion Education's Development and Innovation took place on the 6th April at the Beijing Childrens Palace. View 28 page full color program: 2015ChinaYouth The concert featured children, 9 years to 17 years who had been invited from around China to join over 100 young accordionists from the Beijing area, to perform in accordion orchestras and groups for this concert. The conductors were: Chen Weiliang and Ji Yuchen from the Beijing Childrens Palace and Zhao Wei of Yong Tai Primary School. Also performing was an orchestra of accordion teacher trainees who were participating in the Accordion Education Symposium. Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) General Secretary Kimmo Mattila (read speech: 2015April.pdf) and the President of the China Accordion Association (CAA) and CIA Vice-President Prof. Li Cong opened the event to a full hall of supportive parents and audience.
