| The Akkordeon-Orchester Wesseling (Anita Brandtstäter) performs in concert on August 23rd, 5pm, at the Johanneskirche, Brühl, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. Entry is free, with charity donations taken. The concert, titled ‘Akkordeonmusik aus aller Welt’ (‘Accordion music from all over the world’), includes the Baroque music by Purcell and Vivaldi, Spanish music by Albéniz, and modern music by Karl Jenkins. The program also includes original music such as the ‘Irish Suite’ - Matyas Seiber, the Brazilian-style samba ‘San Fona’ - Wolfgang Ruß, ‘Dalmatian Dances’ - Adolf Götz, the African ‘Kwela Party’ - Jake Lerole, ‘Oblivion’ and ‘La Muerte Del Angel’ - Astor Piazzolla. There will also be some American film-classics ‘Movie Mix I’ - Wolfgang Ruß, and a jive version of ‘On the street where you live’ from the musical ‘My Fair Lady’. |
