Grayson Masefield Wins Aimes Award – New Zealand

Grayson Masefield
2009 Coupe Mondiale winner Grayson Masefield was provided with an air ticket from France to New Zealand to perform on the 31st October for the North Harbour Club Annual Black Tie Dinner at the Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna. This was the venue where Grayson won the Coupe Mondiale and the Virtuoso Entertainment category in August this year.

The Aimes Awards are to assist world class young people in any field of Arts, Music or Sports and the competition for the top prize is enormously competitive with sports people often winning. Grayson was awarded NZ$10,000 (about US$7,500) as the winner of the top prize, the first time that an accordionist has ever reached the finals.

It was a great promotion for the accordion and a very proud moment for North Shore born Grayson Masefield, to be presented this prestigious award in front of so many important North Shore people.
