Dr. William Schimmel’s Diary Dates, New York - USA

William SchimmelDr. William Schimmel’s performance schedule includes:

On September 8th, 9th and 11th, Dr. Schimmel will perform with the New York Philharmonic in a concert that will feature the famous tenor, Andrea Bocelli. The concert will take place at Carnegie Hall.

On September 9th, Dr. Schimmel will perform his own work, ‘Club Parusia’, at the Union Theological Seminary in New York. His work was initially commissioned by the Presbyterian Biennial and premiered in Tucson, Arizona. It was conceived in collaboration with Rev.Robert Brashear.

Dr. Schimmel will perform with The Argento Ensemble, conducted by Michel Galante, on September 12th in a world premiere of ‘Xenos’, by Austrian composer, Beat Furrer, who will also act as the narrator. The performance will take place at Le Poisson Rouge, formerly The Village Gate, a venue devoted to innovative new music.

On September 14th and 5 consecutive Tuesdays following, Dr. Schimmel will perform with singer Gay Marshall in a series of songs made famous by the great Edith Piaf. The performances will take place at the Metropolitan Room, one of Manhattan’s most sophisticated nightclubs.

Dr. Schimmel will premiere his new work, ‘Let’s Celebrate’, on September 20th at New York’s Tavern on the Green, in a tribute to Faithe Deffner, who will be honored with A Lifetime Achievment Award from the American Accordionists' Association.
