 Riga, the Capital of Culture 2014, visit The Splendid Palace Hall in Riga, the Capital of Culture 2014, has a photo exhibition ‘Born in Riga - World Famous’, featuring internationally famous stars of music, arts, sports, dance.These include accordionist Ksenija Sidorova, violinists Baiba Skride and Gidon Kremer, singers Elina Garancha and Inese Galante, conductor Mariss Jansons, ballet dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov, film director Sergei Eisenstein, sculptor Vera Mukhina, philosopher Isaiah Berlin, chess player Michael Long, and many, many more. "They are all Latvian artists with a global name”, says musicologist and cultural journalist Ines Lusina.
