Artistic Director Friedrich Lips (picture left) welcomes you to the 32nd International Moscow Festival “Bayan and Bayanists” which will be held at the Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow, from December 15th to 20th, 2020.

On December 15th, the opening concert will include a performance by Aidar Salakhov, winner of the VI International Bayanist and Accordion Competition. He will perform works by Tchaikovsky, Leaf, Salakhov and Desmond.

This will be followed by the Russian Timbre ensemble of bayanists, Vyacheslav Kuymenski, Vyacheslav Stoma, Pavel Saitsev, Kirill Rusinov and Maxim Tkachev, who will perform works including Tchaikovsky and Piazzolla.

Please note: seating at these concerts is limited to 25% capacity due to Covid-19 restrictions, however performances will also be online.

The 32nd International Moscow Festival is held in conjunction with the VII International Competition of bayan and accordion players. This year the competition will be held online from December 13th to 20th. It will be open to musicians aged from 18 to 32 years at the time of the competition and will be held in 2 rounds with 50% of the contestants progressing to the 2nd round.
