  The Accordion Festival 2023 will be held at the Church of All Nations in Carlton, Victoria, Australia on September 30th, 2023 from 10am to 9pm, presented by the Accordion Society of Australia (Vic).The event will feature concerts by the Prahran Accordion Band, The Stiletto Sisters, orchestras and student performances. Workshops will be held by: • Lucy Riddett (picture left) who will provide a ninety minute workshop on how to play her favourite style of accordion music: French musette. During this workshop you will learn the correct technique to create a classic French musette sound including tone, touch, dynamics and more. • Richard Stacewicz (picture above right) who will cover Digital accordion. Do you like the idea of playing different types of accordions to suit many styles of music? • Masterclass by George Butrumlis who will engage with each student to critique their performance and provide insight into the student's relationship with the accordion. • Accordion repair & tuning with Peter Anderson, who will demonstrate reed tuning, valve work and waxing etc. See poster for details. |
