El Concurso Internaiconal anual « Ciudad de Castelfidardo » para solistas y grupos tiene lugar del 12 al 15 de octubre. El concurso se desarrollará con el siguiente programa.
Los participantes deben contactar con la secretaria primero para pagar la subcripción.
Los concursantes actuarán en orden alfabético a partir de una letra de sorteo en todas las categorías de la competición y el concurso está abierto al público. Los horarios serán publicados el día anterior por la Secretaría.
Las convocatorias son las siguientes:-
Categoría G, H y L. Jueves 12 de octubre, 18,00 horas (Sala B- San Francesco)
Categorías A, N, O y Q, Viernes 13 de octubre 18,00 horas (Sala Convegni – Sala A)
Categorías B,C y D, Sábado 14 de octubre, 18,00 horas (sala Convegni – Sala A)
El resto de categorías se celebrarán el Domingo 15 de octubre a las 16,00 horas en el Teatro Astra.
La organización preparará conciertos para los ganadores de las diferentes categorías. Los ganadores que no participen en estos conciertos no recibirán sus premios.
XXII Festival musical Internacional de Acordeón, San Petersburgo – Rusia
El 22 Festival Musical Internacional de Acordeón tendrá lugar en San Petersburgo del 3 al 5 de noviembre. El famoso intérprete ruso y Profesor Alexander Dmitriev es el organizador y director artístico de este festival.Este evento anual se ha convertido en el centro de la vida acordeonística de San Petersburgo.
Este año el festival tendrá lugar en la Sala de Conciertos Glazunov, uno de los mejores lugares de San Petersburgo. Algunos artistas incluidos en el festival 2006 son Jean-Louis Noton (Francia), Petri Makkonen (Finlandia), conjunto Liritsa (Bielorusia), ganadores de concursos internacionales como Yevgeny Kochetov y Alexander Shirunov (Rusia) además de otros acordeonistas.
Campeonatos Australianos y Festival Internacional de Acordeón 2007, Sydney – Australia

La Asociación de Profesores de Acordeón Australianos acaba de presentar un nuevo evento en el 2007, los Campeonatos Australianos y el Festival Internacional de Acordeón. Todos los actos tendrán lugar en el prestigioso Club Marconi, uno de los clubs más lujosos y grandes de Sydney.
Para el 2007, en el Festival habrá también nuevas clases internacionales que están atrayendo en gran medida a participantes de Croacia, Bosnia y Alemania.
Los días son el 9 y 10 de Junio, una semana después de los Campeonatos de acordeón del Pacífico Sur en Auckland, Nueva Zelanda, que tienen concursos y clases similares planteadas. Para los viajeros del hemisferio norte, normalmente cuesta sólo un poco más viajar a ambos (Nueva Zelanda y Australia) y los participantes pueden interpretar la misma música en dos concursos diferentes con sólo una semana de diferencia.
El concierto de Gala de la AATA, que pretende ser el mayor acto del evento, tendrá lugar en el Auditorio Principal del Club Marconi, donde los mejores acordeonistas australianos, conjuntos y orquestas realizarán actuaciones así como el Ganador de la Coupe Mondiale 2006 de Acordeón Piano y otras estrellas internacionales.
Laurent Jarry, propietario de La Boite D'Accordéon en Montreuil ha recibido recientemente el premio regional al Dinamismo Artesanal “Artinov 2006”.
Este premio es un reconocimiento a su talento, interpretación y contribución de un hombre de negocios que ha sabido usar su talento. En Marzo de 2006, La asociación de Artesanos dió a Laurent Jarry un Master en Negocios para el acordeón.
On September 15th, The Paraná Accordion Club organized a recital in the auditorium of the Asociación Médica, España y Tucumán. The concert featured leading Argentinean accordionist Ildo Patriarch, and Quique Sosa, from Buenos Aires.
Ildo Patriarch is considered one of the leading teachers and performers, and his repertoire covers an extensive variety of styles, that includes tango, traditional folk music and jazz. Quique Sosa participated in the international competition in Castelfidardo, Italy, and was also the winner of the national contest in Argentina in 2004.
The Paraná Accordion Club formed recently for the purpose of promoting the various styles of the instrument and is strongly supported by Raúl Barbosa and Ildo Patriarch. The activities of the group will extend to master classes and workshops, and the foundation of an orchestra is foreseen in the near future.
On September 17th the Allan William Jones Memorial Scholarships Function hosted by the Accordion Examination Board of NZ in honour of the late Secretary of the Board, was held at the Dove Memorial Theatre at Kristin School, Albany, compered by Marcel Riethmann. Performers were the NSAO, conducted by Lionel Reekie, the Music Makers conducted by Christine Adams, Musicale conducted by Robert Winchester, and soloists Campbell Hill and Campbell Bettridge. Certificates were given out to those that had passed examinations, culminating in Kristina Panzic and Travis Mc Walter receiving their Accordion Performers Diplomas (APDNZ). Scholarships were awarded to Abigail Wills, George Xu, Christopher Thwaites & Travis McWalter (picture above right). The Douglas Mews Rosebowl ‘for excellence” was given to Campbell Thwaites. The 2006 recipient of the Annual Merit Award was Lorraine Parnell (picture above left), honouring her for over 30 years of teaching, performing and supporting the accordion movement in New Zealand.
Maurice Jones and Lionel Reekie, as the Starlight Duo (picture left), concluded the event with entertainment music.

Accordionist Davide Bonetti performs solo concerts at cultural evenings Osteria del Rosmarino, Cattaneo 24 Brescia from September 22nd to 29th, and October 6th, all performances begin at 10 pm.
The annual Charity Accordion Concert, promoted by Ray Burgon, takes place on September 23rd takes place at St Mary’s Church, Bramall Lane, Sheffield. The concert, which begins at 7pm, features accordionists Rosemary Wright, George Syrett, Harry Hussey, the Petulengoes, Andrew and Rachel Hesselwood, David Tomlin, and the Sheffield Accordion Band.
The Ferndorftal-Wilden Youth Accordion Orchestra, under the direction of Jutta Clerk-Menn, performs on September 24th, at 11am, in the Bürgerhaus Müsen. The program includes, for example, evergreens such as ‘Biscaya’, a Bee Gees medley and the compositions of John Miles. The concert will be followed by lunch and a social for the musicians, their families and guests.
Universidad Pedagogica Accordion Ensemble Concert, Bogotà - Colombia
The concert fearuring the Accordion Ensemble of Universidad Pedagogica, conducted by Professor Làcides Romero, to be held in Centro Cultural of Universidad Pedagògica- Bogotà, takes place on September 28th, 6pm.
The performers are: Giovanni Parra, Augusto Salamanca, Salustiano Bueno, Rodrigo Romero and Jonathan Agudelo. The concert includes American music: 2 Negro Spirituals, (traditional), 4 Cuban dances, (Ignacio Cervantes), ‘Hacia Tì va mi Alma’ (Argentinean Waltz), ‘Libertango’ (Astor Piazzolla), ‘El Choclo’ (Angel Villoldo), and ‘La Cumparsita’ (Mattos Rodriguez).
The Beijing Children's Palace Bai Di Accordion Orchestra, with 30 musicians, will perform a ‘Grand Concert d'Accordeon’ on September 30th at 8.30pm in the City Hall Theater, La Bourboule. Free Entrance. This concert is organised in collaboration with Nathalie Boucheix from CNIMA in France.
Accordionist and vocalist Steve Albini will be appearing at the Madonna del Lume Celebration at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco on October 1st. The celebration was brought to San Francisco over sixty years ago by Sicilian immigrants, and the annual celebration concludes with the blessing of the fishing fleet.
On October 6th Steve will be performing solo at the Columbus Day Civic Celebration in San Rafael, California. This celebration is sponsored by the Cristofo Colombo Club of Marin.
On October 15th the Steve Albini Trio will be headlining the North Bay Italian Cultural Society’s Festa Italiana in Santa Rosa, California. The trio consists of Steve Albini on the Roland V-Accordion, the ‘Concerto’ digital/acoustic accordion, guitar and vocals, Dave Albini on MIDI and acoustic accordions and trumpet, and Jim Lehmann on drums and percussion.
Steve Albini and friends will be performing November 17th and 18th in Ciao Italia, a concert to benefit the Tomales High School Italian Exchange Program. The performances will take place at the Tomales Historical Center and Museum in Tomales, California.
After his participation at the Salon du Musique in Paris the ‘colorful’ and most entertaining French accordion artiste Jean-Louis Noton will also be present at the showroom of Cavagnolo during the Città di Castelfidardo, October 12th to 15th, where he as usual will be entertaining people passing through the tiny roads of the city.
