Today was the start of the "Belt and Road" Initiative Concerts. We started early with a 3 hour drive to Changzhou City. First stop was the Jiangsu Tom Group for a very nice lunch. There we met Mr Tang Jianhua, chairman of the very large Jiangsu Tom Group and his wife Fang Wang. Tang Jianhua is an accordion enthusiast and player and his daughter Wang Jie (Sara) is a graduate of Shanghai Normal University (SHNU), class of Crystal Wang and has represented China at the Coupe Mondiale. Below is a video of Sara performing "Polka" in Shanghai prior to representing China internationally at a concert in Shanghai in 2014. Jiangsu Tom Packaging Machinery Co. is a factory which is specializing in manufacturing pesticide, chemical packing machines. The factory covers 32688m2, the building area is 24800m with 2,350employees. Sara since graduation, is now teaching accordion and her students orchestra was performing on the evening concert. Tutto a Dio (Lithuania) - Augustinas Rakauskas (accordion) and Frederik Camascho (violin). continued the excellent "action and music" concert. Tango Reaction (Serbia) - Aleksandar Nikolic (bandoneon) and Petar Maric (accordion) certainly received positive reaction from the audience as did all the the excellent performances. ESSE Quintet (Russia) performed the final segment of the international performers. with excellent response from the very happy audience.
