Contributed by Hillebrand van der Veen

The Forzando Light Orchestra's November 4th concert was cancelled because of a unique event. Due to environment protection-measures, many cities and villages celebrated "A day without a car". Unfortunately this meant that Amsterdam was blocked for vehicle traffic and the concert venue could not be reached by the orchestra!! This would be one of the more amazing ways to have a concert cancelled.

The Forzando Light Orchestra will next perform at "De Lishof" Old folks home in Oostzaan Village, Amsterdam on November 25th. For details email:

"...Ruggieri manages to have a modern approach without ever losing sight of the elegiac tone and the flavours of the Parisian bistros - in his hands the accordion finds a new dignity and new musical pieces, among which a special mention is deserved by "Piccolo valzer francese".
