This afternoon the Final Concert and Ceremony of the 6th International Accordion Culture and Art Festival "Shanghai Spring" and "Accordion Gathering in the Yangtze River Delta" and the 2024 Shanghai International Accordion Art Week was held at Changning Culture and Art Center.

As the finale of the festival, the closing concert highlighted "Let the World See China" and invited officials from the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) to view and report the concert.

With a high-level performance that brings together the Yangtze River Delta, Qinyuan North, South and Central China, the Final Concert and Ceremony will show the vigorous vitality of China's contemporary accordion art to the world, and promote the high-quality development of cultural tourism integration between Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta with high-quality public cultural resources.

The performances by international accordion masters and accordion teams from the Yangtze River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and other regions were a musical feast for the audience.

Shanghai Normal University Accordion Orchestra: The Shanghai Normal University Accordion Orchestra was established in 2008. It is the first university student orchestra in China that combines accordion performance with stage performances. It aims to create an artistic practice platform for students and cultivate high-level accordion talents. As a professional team, they have not only won many awards in domestic and foreign competitions, but their unique concepts, refined techniques, novel and diverse playing forms and skillful stage performance have won unanimous praise from all walks of life.

In the more than ten years since its establishment, the orchestra has participated in many public welfare activities such as the Shanghai Spring International Music Festival, Shanghai International Arts Festival, Shanghai Citizen Culture Festival, Shanghai Summer Music Festival, and the "Music Afternoon Tea" concert hosted by the Shanghai Concert Hall. Activity. At the same time, the orchestra also visited primary, secondary and youth activity centers, using the "big hand holding small hand" approach to make the accordion a bridge to promote the development of art education.

ChuChuVibes Percussion Ensemble: ChuChuVibes is also a leading diversified music group in China. It has been invited to major music festivals and theaters and has received unanimous praise. These include China's 4th Import Expo, and as the first band to appear in the press center, they have won unanimous praise from domestic and foreign media. In addition, ChuChuVibes are also frequent visitors to major theaters, such as the National Center for the Performing Arts, Xinghai Concert Hall, Guangzhou Grand Theater, Shanghai Concert Hall, Shanghai Jiu Shu Future Art Theater, Beijing Dahua City Performing Arts Center, etc.; their The series of works "Sound Parade", "When Classical Hears Jazz", "From Baroque to Bebop", "Crystal Silence", "Nocturne", etc. have been unanimously praised by the audience and are hard to find.

Langlang Youth Quartet (Li Yijin, Jin Yiting, Zhuang Zihan, Gong Youming) from the Langlang Youth Accordion Orchestra: Langlang Youth Accordion Orchestra has been committed to cultivating outstanding young performance talents. According to the characteristics of students of different ages, it has created a unique teaching system that combines solo, ensemble, ensemble and other different performance forms to train students in an all-round way. Sensitivity to rhythm and perception of music.

At the same time, training, team building and other activities are organized every year, allowing students to gain deep friendships in collective life, cultivate teamwork skills, and enhance the sense of collective honor. Regularly organized open classes, master Classes and other activities allow students to learn from each other and improve each other, create performance opportunities for students, and cultivate students' self-confidence and stage performance.

Over the years, Langlang members have participated in many professional accordion competitions at home and abroad and achieved outstanding results with wins of many different age groups of the highest level international competitions.

36. to 38. Shanghai Philharmonic Elders Accordion Orchestra: This orchestra was established in 2015. It was initially composed of accordion enthusiasts with zero basic knowledge. Fan Yangcheng, consultant of the Accordion Professional Committee of the Shanghai Music Association, served as the training and conductor. The senior accordion activities have achieved excellent results and good responses. The vast majority of the current 28 members are former professional players and old masters who have studied and played since childhood, and the overall level has advanced with the experienced players. An exciting Final Concert and Ceremony to end a most successful 2024 Shanghai Spring International Accordion Culture and Arts Festival Week. I heard one international guest calling the organisers on stage "a dream team" for their work and performances. This superbly organised festival featured lots of interactive activities with the population and show casing so many different types of music that the accordion presents so successfully.
