Description of pictures: 121 to 130 NZAA Massed Orchestra - Conductor Gary Daverne ONZM, First Accordion: Kevin Friedrich. The Massed orchestra performed Vienne composed by J Schrammel arranged by Gary Daverne and Orange Blossom Special also arranged by Gary Daverne.

131 Ketong Liu (China), winner of the SP250 12 years and under South Pacific Championships 132 Ketong Liu with her cup presentation.

133 Sven Balvan Q217, Own Composition Open Solo and Entertainment Solo, 16 years and over performed one of his compositions.

134 Introduction by Heather Gladstone of the French Edit Piaff performance by Kevin Friedrich with Ros Gilmour (vocalist). Kevin featured three historic instruments from the Accordion Gems collection at the Dargaville Museum. 135 and 136 featured the one off French flag colors historic accordion with special button/piano treble key layout. 137 Ros Gilmour 138 Kevin Friedrich introducing the NZ Kauri wood diatonic accordion. 139 duo with Linda Emmett Litt (percussion). 140 showing off the NZ fern image on the bellow. 141 Ros Gilmour 142 performing Jambalaya with the historic first accordion owned by Kevin Friedrich that was later owned by renowned radio entertainer Frank Vilich.

143 Andre Samatoi winner of the South Pacific Class SP252, South Pacific Accordion Solo Championship. 144 Andre Samatoi cup presentation.

To end the concert was the North Shore Accordion Orchestra of 10 players, performing Menuett by Boccheerini and Baveria Medley arranged by Gary Daverne. NSAO Orchestra

153 Presentation by Maurice Jones to Kevin Friedrich of the first Titano accordion imported into New Zealand in 1957. This instrument is in original condition, never renovated and still plays well. Maurice had located the instrument in the South Island and purchased it for the Accordion Gems Museum display in Dargaville.

Sunday Farewell Dinner

  Description of pictures: The Farewell Dinner was held at Aubergine Restaurant in Takapuna. We have pictures of many attending and the night ended with most on the dance floor enjoying some superb lively dance music. A big thank you to our musicians of the evening Sven Balvan, Stephen Cope, Alanah and Maurice Jones who made the evening a most enjoyable time.
