Now Available, ‘Sterling Illusions’ by Karen Fremar, Kansas – USA

Karen FremarThe just released video of the premiere performance of ‘Sterling Illusions’, a concert work for Trombone, Vibraphone and Accordion composed by Karen Fremar (picture left) and performed by Janne Silfverberg (trombone), Sarrah Cantrell (vibraphone) and Karen Fremar (accordion). Enjoy!

This work was premiered at the Vivant! and Grayson Masefield Concert, April 18, 2010, Unity on the Plaza, Kansas City, MO and the music is now released at: kfremar-C-102

Karen Fremar writes: "The one movement work is multi-sectional. The long lyrical lines of the trombone melody soar over the rhythmical patterns of the accordion and vibraphone. Beginning mysteriously, the work contains jazz elements, some Latin rhythmic structures, and concludes with an exciting finish."
