Am 18. Juli gaben Eugenio Paolini und Castelfidardo Historiker, Beniamino Bugiolacchi (Chronology of Italian Accordions - Chronologie der italienischen Akkordeons und viele andere Publikationen) in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Circolo Culturale Filatelico Numismatico "F. Matassoli "und der Proloco und das Castelfidardo Rathaus einen sehr interessanten Einblick in die Geschichte und das Leben von Paolo Soprani. Paolo Soprani war der Mann, der in der kleinen Stadt Castelfidardo die Herstellung von Akkordeons ins Leben gerufen hat und eine unvergessliche Persönlichkeit war, nicht nur für Castelfidardo, sondern auch für die ganze Welt des Akkordeons. Roberto Ascani, der Bürgermeister von Castelfidardo City, war bei dieser Konferenz anwesend, die in der wunderschönen Umgebung des Palazzo Mordini stattfand und eine große Anzahl an Publikum anzog. Alessandro Governatori, Student der lokalen Musikschule Paolo Soprani und Carlo Bugiolacchi haben mit Musik und Texten einen lebhaften Beitrag geschaffen. Weitere Veranstaltungen zu Ehren dieses denkwürdigen Castelfidardo-Bürgers werden folgen. |

![]() Tageskarten sind für 20 $ erhältlich; Abend Konzertkarten sind 15 $. Tickets können an der Tür gekauft werden. Die Veranstaltungen finden täglich von 9.00 bis 21.30 Uhr statt. Ein Buffet-Mittagessen ist täglich von 12 bis 13 Uhr mit Unterhaltung für 25 $ erhältlich. Zu den diesjährigen Gastkünstlern gehören Matthias Matzke (Deutschland), Petar Maric (Serbien), Stas Venglevski (Moldawien), Cory Pesaturo, Mike Alongi, Donna Dee und Dennis Ray, gemischtes Ensemble (MD Murl Allen Sanders), das ATG Festival Akkordeon Orchester ( MD Joan Cochran Sommers) und das Quintett des Präsidenten (Joseph Natoli, Amy Jo Sawyer, Kenn Baert, Murl Sanders und Liz Finch). Der besondere Ehrengast ist Harley Jones, bekannt als Herausgeber von Accordions Worldwide. Die 1940 ins Leben gerufene Akkordeonisten- und Lehrergilde International (ATG) wurde gegründet, um das Akkordeon, die Entwicklung von Musikkompositionen und Arrangements speziell für Akkordeons zu unterstützen und zu fördern sowie Akkordeonisten und Lehrer zu unterstützen. ![]() Die Seminare 2018 werden ein breites Themenspektrum abdecken und sich auf neue Unterrichtsmethoden - "Earteach", "Eyeteach" und "Duplex" - sowie das Studium verschiedener Methodenbücher, die vom Markt verschwunden sind, konzentrieren. Ziel ist es, einige der reichen Traditionen und Kulturen wiederzuentdecken, die verloren gegangen oder verworfen worden sein könnten. Es wird auch ein "Accordio / Dalcrose" -Segment mit "Movement" und "Eurythmics" geben. Außerdem ein Seminar zum Thema "Was es braucht, um als New Yorker Akkordeonist zu überleben" - anwendbar auf jede Karriereplanung überall. Dr. Schimmel hat mit den meisten großen Symphonieorchestern in Amerika und vielen Kammermusikgruppen in New York gespielt. Popstars-Kollegen reichen von Sting bis zu Tom Waits, der kommentiert hat: "Bill Schimmel spielt nicht das Akkordeon, er ist das Akkordeon". Zu seinen zahlreichen Erfolgen zählen die Gründung des "Tango Project", das Unterrichten, das Führen von Meisterkursen, das Komponieren, Aufnehmen und das Vorführen von Film-Soundtracks. ![]() Zur internationalen Gruppe gehören Kevin Friedrich (USA), Harley Jones und seine Schwester Heather Masefield (Neuseeland), Herbert Scheibenreif (Österreich) sowie Kenneth Baert, David Beer, Kurator Helmi Harrington (Bild oben rechts) und AWAM Board of Directors . Gemeindeoberhäupter wie Bürgermeister Jim Paine haben eine Teilnahme geplant. Vertreter der Stadtratsmitglieder, ua Handelskammer, UWS, WITC, werden ebenfalls erwartet. Das CIA (Sekretariat in Finnland) und das CIA World Accordion Museum Alliance (WAMA) Komitee, Vorsitzender Kevin Friedrich (Bild rechts), wollen internationale Akkordeon Museen als Teil der Gesamtentwicklung des Akkordeons und der CIA Mitgliedschaft der International fördern Music Council, Mitglied der UNESCO. ![]() Video 1: “Sonata in Fm K386” by Scarlatti Video 2: “4th mvt, Zolatariev Sonata” Video 3: “Tango pour Janet” composed by Nathan Chapeton. 17 year old Nathan Chapeton from Middletown, Connecticut is the winner in two prestigious categories at the 2018 AAA 80th Anniversary Festival held last week. Nathan also qualified to represent the USA at the 2018 71st Coupe Mondiale to be held from September 24-30, 2018 in Kaunas, Lithuania. His qualifications are Videos 1 and 2 above, performed before Grayson Masefield and Linda Solely Reed. Nathan is also the winner of the Elsie Bennett Junior Composition Competition. You can hear him performing his composition in Video 3 above. Nathan Chapeton is a young musician who became interested in playing the accordion at the age of eight when he heard his teacher, Mary Tokarski perform in concert. His plans for the future include teaching the accordion and piano, improving his composition skills and ultimately wants to bring the accordion to the youth of the United States. |

The Balalaika and Domra Association of America presents their Russian Festival Concert at Temple Performing Arts Center, 1837 N Broad St, Philadelphia on Saturday July 21st at 7.30pm. The concert brings together musicians from around the world performing Russian, Eastern European and Gypsy folk music, song and dance, and is the culmination of the BDAA’s 40th annual convention taking place in King of Prussia, PA, July 15th-22nd. The performance will feature virtuoso of the balalaika, Elina Karokhina, and virtuoso of the domra, Peter Omelchenko, performing in duos, ensembles and with an 80-piece Russian folk orchestra, featuring two accordionists, conducted by David Cooper. |

In 2012 Tadas Motiecius entered the Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy in the class of Raimondas Sviackevicius, then in 2014 studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Professor Geir Draugsvoll. |
