| Veli Kujala, concert accordionist and composer, received the “Composer of The Year” award at the Finnish Music Publishers' Association Award Ceremony on September 7th. The jury, which comprised of Kare Eskola, Jaani Länsiö, Eriikka Maalismaa and Minna Pensola said “In Veli Kujala, uncompromising art view, versatility, entertainment, experimentalism and virtuosity are combined in a way that represents both the best traditions of art music and its glorious future." Due to Covid-19, the award ceremony was held without invited guests. |
