 The 24th International Week of Accordion “Alcobaca 2020” will include the 25th National Trophy and the 6th International Accordion Competition for soloists, duets, trios, quartets, orchestras and chamber music for all age groups.Organized by Diana Freire (Competition Manager) and Aníbal Freire, (pictures left) President of the Portugal Accordion Association ASACORD, the event will be held from May 23rd to 31st, 2020 and include concerts and masterclasses as well as the competitions. Special prizes for soloists include: Vitorino Matono Prize Joao Barra Bexiga Prize Frank Angelis Prize Alcobaca City Prize New this year: The Jury will nominate one or two candidates from any of the soloist categories (provided they are from a European Country), who have the artistic conditions necessary to represent the International Alcobaça 2020 Accordion Week at the following Festivals:- Fisarmonica International Prize (PIF 2020) in concert to be held in September 2020 in Castelfidardo, Italy. 7th International Accordéons-Nous Festival in concert to be held on 22nd August, 2020 in Mons, Belgium.
