 L'"International Diatonic Alliance" (I.D.A.) d'Italia, in collaborazione con il PIF Castelfidardo (AN), bandisce e organizza la finale del "Premio IDA 2022 della Fisarmonica Diatonica – Concorso Internazionale Mondiale" che si terrà il 28 e 29 settembre 2022.Le 9 categorie di concorso si svolgeranno presso l'Auditorium San Francesco di Castelfidardo il 28 settembre, ore 9:00 - 18:00 con un concerto il 29 settembre alle ore 18:00. Ha sempre avuto un amore "per il Belpaese dove ha spesso trascorso le sue vacanze e dove ritorna regolarmente". |

 La importante fisarmonicista e insegnante neozelandese Stephanie Poole, che ha insegnato a molti campioni neozelandesi di fisarmonica negli ultimi anni, suonerà con la Bach Musica Orchestra (diretta da Rita Paczian) nel municipio di Auckland, Auckland, Nuova Zelanda il prossimo 18 settembre 2022 alle ore 17:00Il loro programma includerà: • Adiós Nonino - composto come omaggio al padre di Piazzolla, Vicente, poco dopo la morte del padre nel 1959 e contiene una delle melodie più famose e belle di Piazzolla. • Escolaso - il 4° movimento della Suite Troileana composto nel 1975. Questo pezzo è stato dedicato alla memoria del bandoneonista argentino Aníbal Troilo. Piazzolla suonò e arrangiò brani con la sua orchestra tra il 1939 e il 1944. La missione di Bach Musica NZ è quella di arricchire la vita delle persone attraverso il linguaggio onnicomprensivo della musica. L'ensemble è composto da un coro di 40 voci e un'orchestra professionale dedicata all'esecuzione di una vasta gamma di musica dal barocco al 21° secolo. Vedi il poster per i dettagli del concerto. |

| Accordion Grenzenlos 2022 ruota attorno al tema dell'improvvisazione e si terrà presso l'Hohner Konservatorium di Trossingen, in Germania, dal 28 al 31 ottobre 2022. L'evento includerà una varietà di workshop, concerti, Open Stage Jam Session, presentazioni dei workshop e un forum pedagogico musicale con la docente ospite Franziska Gohl.  The 2022 International Accordion Meeting will be held in Recoaro Terme, Vicenza, Italy from September 1st to 4th, 2022 organised by Elio Bertolini (picture below) in collaboration with the Museo delle Impronte dei Grandi della Fisarmonica (Museum of Handprints of Accordion Greats – picture right) and the Comune of Recoaro Terme.During the international accordion meeting, four more handprints will be added to the museum collection from Denis Novato, Fabio Ceccarini, Gabriele Scardeletti and Natalino Marche. | Video: The Dunloy Accordion Band from Ballymoney, Northern Ireland, August 2022 visit to Belgium and France. The band is parading out of the grounds of the Ulster Tower, Thiepval. The band visited a number of battlefields including Menin Gate, Ypres, accompanied by battlefield guide Tom Saunders. They also attended and performed at the Centre d'Accueil de Thiepval in France and the Ulster Tower, located in Thiepval, France, which is Northern Ireland's National War Memorial. |

| The II International Gala Accordéon Spectacular festival was held in Valencia de Alcántara, Extremadura, Spain last week, organised by the San Bartolome Pensioners Association. Performances were given by accordionists Jorge Alves (Portugal), Carlos Poeiras (Portugal), David Mendonca (Portugal), David Duarte (Spain) and Isaac Piris (Spain). |

  The 6th Accordion Meeting will take place in Alta Val Tanaro, Ormea, Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy on September 3rd and 4th, 2022, organised by the Associazione Culturale Ulmeta with Artistic Director Gianni Vinai.The event will include outdoor concerts by Gianni Martini (picture above right) and Eugenio Parodi (flute) on September 3rd and the Quartetto Novecento (picture above left) which includes Mirco Rebaudo (clarinet and Saxophone), Mauro Parrinello (double bass), Gianni Martini (accordion) and Massimo Dal Prà (piano and arrangements). On September 4th, artists will roam the streets and squares performing with a welcoming performance for the arrival of the historic train Torino Porta Nuova. A final concert will be held at the Piazza Nani where all artists can participate. Baskets of local products will be distributed to the youngest accordionist, the oldest accordionist and to the accordionist who travelled the greatest distance to attend. | Video: "Pašona" performed by Dejan Jovanovic & the Sinfoniski Orkestar "Virtuozi" conducted by Bojan Sudjic in Ruma, Serbia. The piece was arranged by Konstantin Blagojevic. Dejan Jovanovic will hold a Balkan Music Workshop on the island of Rab in Croatia from September 8th to 15th, 2022. Jovanovic is a longtime researcher of the Balkans and Roma music and aims to unite Balkan and Western culture through music such as Jazz, Classic and his own style. He currently composes music for accordion and symphony orchestra. |

| A concert dedicated to Knowledge Day will take place at Zane Music School Riga branch in Riga, Latvia on September 10th, 2022 at 3pm organised by Zanes Muzikas Skola. | Video: Performance by Ivan Lebedev at the I International Remote Competition "Mischievous Accordions" 2022. Young accordionist Ivan Lebedev (Russia) was awarded the Absolute Winner of the I International Remote Competition "Mischievous Accordions" 2022, held in Grodno, Republic of Belarus recently. The competition attracted over 200 entries from six countries including Belarus, Russia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Serbia and Republic of Kazakhstan. The jury included Nikolai Sevryukov (Belarus), Daniela Gazdich (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Vladimir Bormotov (Belarus), Lydia Skachko (Belarus), Alexander Shuvalov (Belarus) and Alexander Sirotkin (Russia). |

 Neil Thornock, di Provo, Utah, (foto a destra) ha vinto quest'anno l'American Accordionists' Association (AAA) Elsie Bennett Composition Competition con il suo delizioso e struggente assolo di fisarmonica, Moon-k'ssed Conifers.Neil Thornock ha composto per una varietà di forze, tra cui orchestrali, elettroniche, da camera e da solista. Gran parte della sua musica è scritta per la sua tecnica tastieristica idiosincratica su organo, pianoforte, carillon, fisarmonica e altri strumenti. Nel 2019 ha presentato in anteprima la sua opera di tre ore Planetarium per organo ed elettronica. Attualmente Thornock è professore di composizione e teoria alla Brigham Young University di Provo, nello Utah. Lui e sua moglie Tammy sono genitori di sette figli. Neil Thornock scrive: "Ho composto Moon-kiss'd Conifers per presentare l'acustica straordinaria e molto riverberante dell'atrio centrale dell'Harris Fine Arts Center della Brigham Young University, un edificio che sarà demolito all'inizio del 2023. Le armonie che si spostano lentamente e le melodie flessuose lasciano spazio alla risonanza. Il risultato è notturno e forse un po' liturgico." | The XXIV Kokkola Winter Accordion Festival was held in Kokkola and Pietarsaari, Finland from May 17th to 28th, 2022. The events included a variety of music concerts for all ages from children through to seniors. Guardia Nueva conducted by Raimo Vertainen gave a jubilee concert entitled “Multifaceted Diamond – Guardia Nueva 20 years” which featured soloists Jarkko Ahola, Arja Koriseva, Teemu Roivainen and Jepa Lambert performing pieces specially arranged for the orchestra but in its classic style.
