  Il XXV Festival invernale della fisarmonica di Kokkolan 2023 si è tenuto a Kokkola, Ostrobotnia centrale, Finlandia, dal 10 al 18 febbraio 2023. Scarica il programma del festival: 2023KokkolaFest.pdf Foto a: 2023KokkolaGallery Notizie sui concerti del Festival invernale della fisarmonica da Raimo Vertainen (foto a destra), direttore artistico del festival dall'inizio del festival. Poiché quest'anno è stato il 25° anniversario del festival, la Central-Pohjanmaa Chamber Orchestra e i solisti hanno registrato la scorsa settimana al Kaustinen Folk Arts Center. "Questa è una settimana storica in quanto il risultato è il primo CD nel nostro paese in cui sono stati registrati solo concerti di fisarmonica di compositori finlandesi." Tutti i concerti registrati sono stati commissionati dal Kokkola Winter Accordion Festival: il Duo Concertante di Aulis Sallinen (solisti Sonja Vertainen e Janne Valkeajoki), Brother Kujala Shape-Shifter (solista Petteri Waris) e Minna Leinonen Vyöry (solista Antti Leinonen). Vedi le foto sopra e sotto. Tutti i concerti sono diversi nello stile, ma di grande successo. Grazie al direttore Tomas Djupsjöbacka e all'amministratore Marjukka Puutio. L'album è composto da tre concerti contemporanei per fisarmonica dei principali compositori finlandesi Aulis Sallinen, Veli Kujala e Minna Leinonen e sarà pubblicato nel febbraio 2024 in occasione del 26° Festival invernale della fisarmonica di Kokkola. |

| Video: La 14a edizione dell'Orpheus Award 2023 (Premio della critica per le produzioni di fisarmonica e tutta la famiglia delle ance) si è tenuta il 19 marzo 2023. L'evento è organizzato dall'Associazione Promozione Arte: Gerlando Gatto (Art Director) Renzo Ruggieri (Presidente APA) Giuseppe Di Falco (Segretario) Andrea Di Giacomo (Segretario) Il premio comprende tre categorie: Classic, Jazz e World. Risultati: Jazz: Simone Zanchini e Gabriele Mirabassi con "Il Gatto e la Volpe" Egea Records. Classica: Marco Gemelli con "El Tiburon" Ars Spoletium Publishing & Recording World/popular: Flaviano Braga e Simone Mauri con "Ma per" di Caligola Records. Premio alla carriera: Wolmer Beltrami. Nato a Breda Cisoni il 23 maggio 1922, dal 'ragazzo prodigio' che era, Wolmer già a 16 anni aveva una sua orchestra con la quale si esibiva per molti mesi in alcuni grandi alberghi. Nel 1947 si formò il famoso duo Kramer-Beltrami, mentre con l'avvento della televisione in Italia formò il Trio con le sorelle Luisa e Leda, con le quali fece un tour in Medio Oriente nel 1950. Nel 1960 ottiene un importante riconoscimento: l'"Oscar mondiale della fisarmonica". Straordinario virtuoso, Beltrami è giustamente ricordato anche come fantasioso compositore: "Il Treno", "Carovana negra", "Squadrone bianco". |

 Stas Venglevski si esibirà in concerto presso la Schwan Concert Hall, Wisconsin Lutheran College di Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA il 27 marzo 2023 alle 19:00, organizzato da Frankly Music. Questo evento si svolge come parte della serie di concerti luterani del Wisconsin.Stas sarà affiancato da Frank Almond (violino) e Roza Borisova (violoncello) per presentare un programma con tanghi, valzer, musiche di J.S.   Il Festival Accordéons-nous.org 2023 si terrà a Mons, in Belgio, dal 19 al 23 aprile. L'evento prevede il 5° Concorso Internazionale e Nazionale, un'esposizione di accessori per fisarmonica appartenuta a Willy Staquet (fisarmonicista di Montois) e una serie di concerti come segue:- 19 aprile alle 20:30: Concerto di apertura del Duo Argos (foto sopra a sinistra), che vede la partecipazione di Julien Beautemps (fisarmonica - Francia) e Sotiris Athanasiou (chitarra classica – Grecia) presso La Maison Losseau di Mons. Il duo suonerà un "repertorio cosmopolita da George Gershwin a Fazil Say, passando per Radamés Gnattali". - 20 aprile ore 20:30: Geir Draugsvoll (Danimarca) presso La Maison Losseau di Mons. - 21 aprile ore 12:00: Roman Puneiko (Ucraina) presso Arts 2, Mons. - 21 aprile ore 20:30: Salvatore Pace e Alessandro Gaudio (foto in alto a destra) Concerto "Viva Italia" al Plaza-Art, Mons. - 22 aprile alle 12:00: Michel Stockhem (Belgio) presso Plaza-Art, mons. - 22 aprile ore 20:00: concerto del Prix Accordéons-nous 2023 all'Arts 2, mons. - 23 aprile ore 12:00: Loris Douyez (Belgio) presso Arts 2, Mons. - 23 aprile ore 17:30: Concerto di chiusura con l'orchestra "Accordéons-nous" (foto sotto) e "Accordiola St. Vith". Video starts at 0:14:50 The All-Russian Day of Bayan, Accordion and Harmonica is also Russia's contribution to World Accordion Day (May 6th) because that date clashes with a Russian National Holiday, so for that reason, the All-Russian Day of Bayan, Accordion and Harmonica is held in March annually. The Department of the Bayan and Accordion of the Gnesins RAM established the event with project manager, Friedrich Lips. The aim of the event is to become part of a national cultural project. |

| Tickets are almost sold out for The Shands Family Show, due to be held at the Dumfries Baptist Church Centre in Dumfries, Scotland on April 8th, 2023 at 7.30pm. All proceeds from the show will be going to two great charities: Prostate Buddies D & G and Breast Cancer Support. The Shand family, who played recently for the King when he bestowed City status on Dunfermline, will be joined by Gordon Smith (drums) plus a variety of local talent. See poster above for details. |

 The 2023 Tomball German Heritage Fest will be held daily from March 24th to 26th in Tomball, Texas, USA.Accordion entertainers include the Alex Meixner Band, Chris Rybak Band (picture left), and Matt Tolentino. Auckland accordionist, Tracey Collins will entertain over 1,000 people at the “One Day in Provence” long lunch event at The Cloud in Auckland, New Zealand on March 25th, 2023. The event is organised by a trio of Frenchies who are keen to celebrate the end of summer in New Zealand in style. The dress code is Pink & White – see 2022 picture above. Last weekend Tracey performed a variety of Irish tunes at Florrie McGreal’s Irish Pub in Takapuna, Auckland to celebrate St Patricks Day on March 17th. The following day (March 18th), Tracey took part in the Takapuna St Patrick's Day Parade (photo left) with Marika Balzat (violin) and Archie (guitar) to a large crowd. |

Three piece band “Leveret” will perform at Live at Sam's in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England on March 26th, 2023. | Black Pencil will perform a special children’s show (for nine and over) entitled “Caioni's Secret Book” at the Secondary Education Vechtstede College in Weesp, Netherlands on March 28th, 2023 at 11am and 12.30pm, directed by Annechien Koerselman. “Imagine: you inherit a map, with which you can find a treasure, which has been hidden for centuries in a monastery in Transylvania, present-day Romania. Then, of course, you don't think twice, but you go out with the musicians of Black Pencil to understand this mystery. Their instruments from recorders and pan flutes to percussion, viola and accordion show you the way. But be warned, Caioni's Secret Book can't just be revealed: musical riddles have to be solved and codes cracked.” |

 Foto sopra: i delegati del Congresso invernale 2023La Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) ha tenuto il 149° Congresso invernale dell'Assemblea generale dei delegati a Paks, in Ungheria, dal 3 al 5 marzo 2023, cui hanno partecipato delegati di 17 Paesi provenienti da Stati Uniti, Corea del Sud, Russia, Scandinavia e da tutta Europa. La CIA ha ricevuto due candidature per il prestigioso CIA Merit Award, che premia i contributi eccezionali al movimento internazionale della fisarmonica. Il Congresso ha votato all'unanimità per l'assegnazione del Merit Award a Ladislav Horák (Repubblica Ceca) e Renzo Ruggieri (Italia). Renzo Ruggieri, fisarmonicista jazz, ha tenuto più di 2.000 concerti in tutto il mondo, ha partecipato a centinaia di produzioni ed è rinomato come compositore, arrangiatore e insegnante. Già direttore artistico del PIF di Castelfidardo e attualmente direttore dell'Italia Award Festival da lui creato. Insegna fisarmonica jazz al conservatorio "Gaetano Braga" (Teramo, Italia) e i suoi allievi hanno vinto numerosi concorsi internazionali. Ladislav Horák è professore di fisarmonica e vice direttore del Conservatorio di Praga. Si esibisce come solista, camerista e accompagnato da orchestre sinfoniche e di fisarmonica e partecipa regolarmente a prestigiosi festival in diversi Paesi del mondo. È direttore artistico del festival International Accordion Days di Praga e ha eseguito in prima assoluta molte opere di compositori contemporanei cechi e stranieri che ha registrato per stazioni radio ceche e internazionali. |

 A World of Accordions Museum ospiterà il Festival Dr. Willard Palmer presso l'Harrington Arts Centre di Superior, Wisconsin, USA, per celebrare la Giornata Mondiale della Fisarmonica (WAD). Il festival si svolgerà dal 5 al 7 maggio 2023 e includerà una varietà di concerti, seminari, mostre e una visita al museo. Vedi poster per i dettagli.Il primo WAD si è tenuto il 6 maggio 2009, in occasione del 180° compleanno della fisarmonica: 6 maggio 1829, data di deposito del brevetto della fisarmonica. WAD è organizzato dalla Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) e ha avuto molto successo, generando pubblicità positiva per la fisarmonica. Ogni fisarmonicista è invitato a sostenere attivamente questo evento incoraggiando le attività nazionali e locali della fisarmonica a svolgersi nel proprio paese il 6 maggio o nel fine settimana di WAD se ciò dovesse essere più conveniente.
