  L’American Accordionists' Association (AAA) celebra il suo 85° anniversario presso il Marriott Philadelphia West di Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, USA, dal 12 al 16 luglio 2023.Gli organizzatori sono molto entusiasti di annunciare che il delizioso, dinamico e brillante direttore di fama mondiale, Joan C. Sommers, dirigerà l'Orchestra del Festival di quest'anno! Il comitato dell'AAA Festival si impegna costantemente ad aggiungere nuovi eventi, quindi controllate regolarmente il sito web dell'AAA. Anche i moduli di registrazione saranno presto online. Nel frattempo, di seguito sono riportati solo alcuni degli eventi entusiasmanti che abbiamo pianificato. Siamo molto lieti di annunciare che il neozelandese Grayson Masefield si unirà a noi per spettacoli e workshop. Molto simpatico e garbato, Grayson ha vinto ed è stato premiato in oltre una dozzina di concorsi internazionali di fisarmonica in tutto il mondo nelle categorie classica, virtuosistica e digitale. Attualmente è insegnante di musica strumentale per fisarmonica presso l'Università di Auckland, Nuova Zelanda. Un altro ospite speciale sarà la leggenda della fisarmonica Joey Miskulin, che è stato inserito nella Country Music Hall of Fame nel 2018. A dirigere la nostra Youth Orchestra per il festival di quest'anno sarà Joanna Darrow. Joanna ha dedicato tutta la sua vita ad esibirsi, insegnare e promuovere la fisarmonica. Al banchetto del nostro festival di sabato, l'AAA assegnerà il suo ambito Lifetime Achievement Award al membro del consiglio di lunga data Frank Busso Sr. Frank è stato un educatore, performer, direttore d'orchestra e ambasciatore a tutto tondo della fisarmonica per decenni. | Il XV Festival "Dani Harmonica" si terrà a Ugljevik, Repubblica Serba, Bosnia ed Erzegovina dal 27 aprile al 1° maggio 2023, organizzato dalla Scuola elementare di Musica "Kornelije Stankovic". L'evento comprenderà concerti, seminari, conferenze professionali e un concorso per solisti, ensemble da camera e orchestre. L'evento fa parte della serie di concerti "Fisarmonica e ospiti" e si terrà presso l'auditorium del Friedrich-Wilhelm Gymnasium di Colonia, in Germania. | Video: Aotango - Video promozionale per il concerto del Museo di Auckland Preparatevi ad essere abbagliati mentre il celebre quintetto neozelandese Aotango vi accompagna in un viaggio eclettico attraverso l'evoluzione del tango in uno spettacolo con alcuni dei migliori talenti della Nuova Zelanda: Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra (APO), il primo violinista Andrew Beer, il pianista del NZ Trio Somi Kim al pianoforte a coda Fazioli, il fisarmonicista campione del mondo Grayson Masefield, il bassista principale degli APO Gordon Hill e il famoso chitarrista jazz Sam Swindells. Il concerto si terrà il 12 marzo 2023 dalle 18:30 nella splendida cornice del Museo di Auckland di Te Ao Marama South Atrium a Parnell, Auckland, con il Tuitui Museum Bistro & Café che offre deliziosi piatti e bevande per tutta la serata. Presentato in due atti, 'A Century of Tango' ripercorre le origini e le diverse espressioni di questo stile vibrante.  I West Country Concertina Players ospiteranno un Concertina Workshop Weekend presso l'Halsway Manor National Centre for Folk Arts nel Somerset, Inghilterra, Regno Unito dal 17 al 19 marzo 2023.Il weekend è per musicisti di livello intermedio/avanzato di tutti i sistemi ed è aperto a tutti. Ci sarà tempo per rilassarsi nel comfort di Halsway Manor, con sessioni serali di musica nel bar, oltre a un concerto informale di tutor il sabato sera.  The 2023 Northern Ireland Open Accordion Championships were held at the Hilton Hotel Conference Centre, in Templepatrick, Co. Antrim on February 18th, 2023, organised by Clyde Johnston (picture left).The event featured a final concert which included an opening performance by the Royal Meath Accordion Orchestra (picture above). Members of this orchestra were awarded the top three prizes in the overall category for best performances: Michael Leavey, Laura Masterson and the RMAO Senior Ensemble. This popular competition had over 180 entries from “England, Scotland, Germany, the Republic of Ireland as well as a strong local contingent.” Competition classes were held for soloists, duos, groups, orchestras and marching bands for a variety of age groups.  The Accordionists & Teachers Guild, International (ATG) will hold a Professional Development Course “How to Practise” with Jelena Milojevic (picture right) on February 26th from 12 noon US Central time.In this workshop attendees will learn to structure their own practice, or guide their students to do the same, in order to always perform well. In an easy to follow, step by step way, you'll get tools to building good habits in your daily practice routine. Jelenia will cover the process from the moment of preparing to learn music, process of fingering, practice strategies, avoiding learning mistakes, addressing problems, and so much more! Jelena Milojevic is an accordion instructor at the University of Victoria in Canada. She has an extensive performing history as a soloist, chamber musician and soloist with various orchestras.  Applications are now open for the 16th Premio Andrea Parodi European Music Competition for artists from all over the world. The competition was created in honour of the distinguished Sardinian artist Andrea Parodi, who passed away 17 years ago.The 2022 edition Premio Andrea Parodi received almost 300 entries, with about half from international countries. Competition prizes include concerts and performances in some of the partner music festivals in their 2024 editions, such as European Jazz Expo (Sardinia), Folkest (Friuli), as well as the 2024 Premio Andrea Parodi as well as a €2,500 scholarship. Winner of the Critics' Award will have a professional videoclip of their competition piece produced, offered by the Andrea Parodi Foundation. The finals will be held in autumn in Cagliari, Sardinia.  Auckland accordionist Tracey Collins entertained as a member of the Bluelight Trio at the Katikati Twilight Festival in Katikati, New Zealand on February 11th, 2023.  Urs Lötscher (picture left) will tutor an Accordion Workshop at the Haus der Volksmusik in Altdorf, Switzerland on February 26th, 2023.“During the course you will learn to accompany a simple yodel song with the accordion. The course group is dedicated to various topics: Basic knowledge of harmony and ear training. Musical expression, sound design, dynamics, development of understanding of text in yodel songs, interaction with small yodel formations (solo, duet, trio).” The workshop is aimed at young people & adults with a playing level at least intermediate, an interest in yodeling, knowledge of sheet music and simple musical basics.  Accordionists will entertain at the “2023 Shamrock the Dock” festival held at 1 Dock St in Annapolis, Maryland, USA on March 4th and 5th, 2023.The two day music and cultural festival will feature international and local acts, including Scythian (USA – picture below with accordionist Dan Fedoryka) and Skerryvore (Scotland - picture left with Daniel Gillespie on accordion). The event will also celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a huge parade and a circus tent with music performances. |

 La Convention Nazionale della Fisarmonica (NAA) 2023 si terrà presso l'Hilton Hotel di Richardson, Texas, dal 15 al 19 marzo 2023.Questa convention guidata dai congressisti si sta avvicinando! Prenota oggi stesso (sia hotel che convention). Il programma e gli elementi correlati sono sul sito Web NAA. Mancano solo 26 giorni alla Convention 2023 dell'Associazione Nazionale della Fisarmonica! La convention è costituita da quattro giorni di eventi ricchi di azione per fisarmonicisti e appassionati di fisarmonica, che comprendono oltre 30 workshop, due concerti serali e un'esperienza ad alto ritmo il venerdì con la popolare Brave Combo Band e il fisarmonicista Alex Meixner. Sono inclusi due pasti, tra cui un elegante banchetto del sabato sera, e le opportunità di lezioni private da parte dei presentatori renderanno l'evento ancora più speciale. Una parte sempre popolare della Convention sarà la Fun Band diretta da Dick Albreski. Il presidente della NAA Norman Seaton (foto a destra) dice: "Il nostro piano è fare in modo che tutti coloro che desiderano esibirsi possano farlo durante i quattro giorni. Ci saranno anche numerose opportunità di suonare durante i pasti, jam session e Music in the Air". Lo Swap Shop offrirà strumenti musicali, e molte aziende di fisarmoniche saranno presenti sul posto per esporre i loro strumenti. Un aspetto importante di ogni Convention NAA sono le meravigliose amicizie forgiate durante l'evento. Un congressista ha affermato che non è solo la musica a rendere l'esperienza così grande; Quando si ritorna anno dopo anno, diventa una riunione! La convention presenterà le versioni 2023 di American Music che è commerciabile come musica di oggi. Questa musica è una combinazione di musica americana contemporanea originata da immigrati statunitensi che hanno portato i loro valori musicali e le loro tradizioni mentre si univano al grande melting pot americano. Convention Nazionale della Fisarmonica 2023 Opportunità di istruzione superiore: In cima alle richieste di sondaggio ci sono le opportunità di apprendimento come il pensiero creativo e l'applicazione alla musica, l'ear-training, l'articolazione e il controllo del mantice, le tecniche di pratica, la lettura a prima vista, la teoria musicale, le tecniche di esecuzione e le opportunità di performance.
