A new CD entitled “Cantares Mexicanos” has just been released under the Mexican label Tempus Clasico, on the occasion of UNESCO's International Year of Indigenous Languages in 2019. This recording contrasts Aztec poetry in the Nahuatl language with 7 accordion works by Mexican composers - Georgina Derbez, Victor Ibarra, Ana Lara, Alejandro Romero, Javier Torres Maldonado, Jorge Torres Saenz and Itzam Zapata. Accordionist Vincent LHermet accompanied by narrators Astrid Hadad (Spanish) and Christian Rojas (Nahuatl) will tour four countries (Italy, France, Mexico, Germany) giving 10 concerts based on the CD. “Cantares Mexicanos” is a collection of poems (in the Nahuatl language) transcribed by Spaniards in Latin alphabet in the 16th century. The language of the Aztecs -the Náhuatl- (Mexico's second spoken language after Spanish), today has about 1.5 million speakers. This project, carried out with the support of the Embassies of France and Mexico and the Charles Oulmont Foundation, is a reminder, through creation, of the need for people to preserve their history and their languages, since a "country can not grow without its roots". Three music videos by Marco Lo Russo were presented on September 15th at Auditorium Ex Infirmary of Fossanova in Priverno, Latina, Italy. The project by the accordionist, composer and producer Marco Lo Russo, was curated by the Marco Lo Russo Music Center association and directed by journalist Silvia Vecchi, winner of the 2016 Jubilee Award for information in Lazio. The historical beauties in the video Art History Culture, are entrusted to the string quartet Tango Antiguo by Marco Lo Russo; while in the video Events and Traditions the many summer and spring events are narrated through the songs Danza sull'Aia in electro acoustic and Coro for voices, by the same Rouge. The presentation of Made In Lazio Priverno in Fossanova, was part of the event, organized by the Municipality of Priverno, "Waiting for the Fossanova Tourism expo 2020", which will see the presence of Latina and Frosinone administrators, buyers and tour operators planning its own tourism fair to promote and grow tourism of the two provinces.
