| Video: 2021 "Berlino celebra Piazzolla" festival dedicato ad Astor Piazzolla. L'associazione Pantonale e.V. si è fatta un nome negli ambienti della fisarmonica e attraverso i suoi festival organizzati annualmente, che hanno attirato molta attenzione a livello internazionale. Dopo il festival "Berlino celebra Piazzolla", Pantonale ha deciso quest'anno di organizzare un "Festival della Pace" nella Filarmonica di Berlino e alla Porta di Brandeburgo a causa dell'attuale situazione geopolitica. Artisti provenienti da Ucraina e Russia verranno a questo festival, così come sono attesi musicisti provenienti da Italia, Colombia, Austria e Germania. Gli apprezzati fisarmonicisti Yuri Shishkin, Sergey Osokin, Gorka Hermosa, Eduard Akhanov, Piotr Yarinenko, Egle Bartkeviciute, Ryan Corbett, Volodymyr Kashuta e il chitarrista Vitaliy Shal si esibiranno al concerto di apertura presso la Passionskirche di Berlino-Kreuzberg. Il "Kollektiv Duo" Raphael Brunner, (fisarmonica) e Juan Carlos Diaz, (flauto - Austria e Colombia) stanno attualmente ispirando la scena musicale mondiale ed eseguiranno le proprie composizioni. Il "Quinteto Respiro" dalla Francia, vincitore del Concorso Musicale Piazzolla 2021, presenterà il suo nuovo programma "Pictures at an Exhibition" (Modest Mussorgsky, arr. Gustavo Beytelmann). Per tutta la settimana i concerti del Festival della Pace saranno ascoltati nel Parco Steglitz, nelle chiese e nelle scuole. I programmi dei concerti includeranno anche opere del compositore ucraino Viktor Vlasov, Georg Gershwin e Alexander Tsfasman, un quintetto d'archi dei Berliner Symphoniker e un trio jazz fornirà il quadro musicale per i concerti. | Il 27° Festival Internazionale della Fisarmonica Hoogezand-Sappemeer si terrà al Teatro Kielzog di Hoogezand, Paesi Bassi, il 9 ottobre 2022 alle ore 13.00, presentato da Adri Kruijer. L'evento è dedicato alla musica di Amsterdam di un'epoca passata con successi di Tante Leen, Johnny Jordaan, Willy Alberti, Johnny Meijer e molti altri. Si esibiranno il Rembrandt Duo con Eddy Hoorenman e Huub Eikenboom, Piet Schmidt e Gert Wantenaar, accompagnati da Klaas Kreuijer (batteria) e Joris Bijleveld (contrabbasso).  Neil Thornock, di Provo, Utah, (foto a destra) ha vinto quest'anno l'American Accordionists' Association (AAA) Elsie Bennett Composition Competition con il suo delizioso e struggente assolo di fisarmonica, Moon-k'ssed Conifers.Neil Thornock ha composto per una varietà di forze, tra cui orchestrali, elettroniche, da camera e da solista. Gran parte della sua musica è scritta per la sua tecnica tastieristica idiosincratica su organo, pianoforte, carillon, fisarmonica e altri strumenti. Nel 2019 ha presentato in anteprima la sua opera di tre ore Planetarium per organo ed elettronica. Attualmente Thornock è professore di composizione e teoria alla Brigham Young University di Provo, nello Utah. Lui e sua moglie Tammy sono genitori di sette figli. Neil Thornock scrive: "Ho composto Moon-kiss'd Conifers per presentare l'acustica straordinaria e molto riverberante dell'atrio centrale dell'Harris Fine Arts Center della Brigham Young University, un edificio che sarà demolito all'inizio del 2023. Le armonie che si spostano lentamente e le melodie flessuose lasciano spazio alla risonanza. Il risultato è notturno e forse un po' liturgico." | Il Festival Avsenik 2022 si terrà a Begunje, in Slovenia, dal 26 al 28 agosto 2022, in seguito alla cancellazione dell'evento del 2021 a causa della Covid-19. Il festival è uno dei maggiori eventi dell'anno che si tiene a Begunje na Gorenjskem, in Slovenia, e prevede tre serate musicali e più di 20 gruppi di animazione locali e stranieri. | The XXIV Kokkola Winter Accordion Festival was held in Kokkola and Pietarsaari, Finland from May 17th to 28th, 2022. The events included a variety of music concerts for all ages from children through to seniors. Guardia Nueva conducted by Raimo Vertainen gave a jubilee concert entitled “Multifaceted Diamond – Guardia Nueva 20 years” which featured soloists Jarkko Ahola, Arja Koriseva, Teemu Roivainen and Jepa Lambert performing pieces specially arranged for the orchestra but in its classic style.   The Whitby Folk Week Festival will be held in Whitby, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England from August 20th to 26th August 2022.The event will include a variety of concerts, workshops, ceilidhs, dances, sessions, talks, presentations, interviews and a children’s festival. Event partners are City and municipality of Niepolomice, Royal Castle in Niepolomice, Malopolskie Sound and Word Center, and the First grade Music School in Nowa Huta Branch in Niepolomice.  The 31st Annual Cotati Accordion Festival gets underway this weekend, August 20th and 21st, 2022 in La Plaza Park, Downtown Cotati, California, USA.Music at the festival will range from Conjunto, folk, jazz, Irish, Venezuelan, rock, classical, zydeco, western & more. The event will include a Jam Tent, a Zydeco Dance Party, a Student Stage, the Ray's Deli Stage, and two main stages, along with over 60 vendors including crafts, accordions, food, wine and beer. | Video: Information on the 37th Froger-Ferron Prize Festival. The 37th Froger-Ferron Prize Festival will be held in Parcé, Fougères, Brittany, France on September 10th and 11th, 2022, organised by the AFAP (Association de Formation et d'Animation Populaire). The aim of the event is to promote and bring to life the music, tales, songs and traditional dances of Brittany and will feature a variety of traditional music, competitions, meetings, dancing, and an accordion exhibition. Every year several hundred diatonic accordionists come together to compete in a solo or duo competition or simply take part in this great gathering of traditional music and dance.  La Christchurch Symphony Orchestra (CSO) ha invitato Grayson Masefield a unirsi a loro per un interessante progetto all'inizio di quest'anno per un'esibizione sabato 30 luglio. Azul di Golijov, originariamente commissionato per Yo-Yo Ma e la "hyper-accordion", doveva essere eseguito dalla Christchurch Symphony Orchestra in una delle 10 migliori sale cittadine al mondo dal punto di vista acustico, la nuova Christchurch Town Hall, Nuova Zelanda.Al violoncellista londinese Matthew Barley e al fisarmonicista di Auckland Grayson Masefield si sono uniti due percussionisti locali per formare un gruppo obbligato. La partitura prevedeva anche una disposizione non tradizionale dei posti a sedere dell'Orchestra Sinfonica di Christchurch per circondarli. Il direttore principale Benjamin Northey si è detto entusiasta del successo del suono creato dall'opera. Il pubblico ha apprezzato molto questo pezzo contemporaneo, regalando ai 30 minuti di lavoro l'applauso più lungo e fragoroso della serata. Radio Nuova Zelanda ha registrato l'esibizione e il link sarà disponibile a breve. Il presidente, il tesoriere e il segretario della New Zealand Accordion Association hanno assistito all'esibizione, insieme ai membri della Canterbury Accordion Association.
