Le competizioni erano di alto livello, come si può vedere dal video del concerto dei vincitori dell'11 luglio. Grazie al direttore artistico di Harbin 2018, Prof. Wang Hongyu (foto a sinistra), al comitato organizzativo di Harbin e ai numerosi volontari che hanno gestito un evento di incredibile successo. Grazie agli ospiti, al Ministero della Cultura della Repubblica Popolare Cinese e al governo popolare municipale di Harbin, intrapreso dal Harbin Normal College di Harbin, Cina. |

Concorso di Composizione "Città di Spoleto" per Fisarmonica/Pianoforte - Italiaby Elisa Caprari |

Le composizioni devono essere per fisarmonica (solista) o piano (solista) o per pianoforte e fisarmonica (duetto). Il concorso è gestito da Italian Accordion Culture, membro italiano della Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA) e questa sarà la 2° edizione del concorso di composizione. Le composizioni vincenti scelte dalla giuria, con presidente Fabrizio De Rossi Re, saranno eseguite nei concerti serali durante il festival Strumenti & Musica, Spoleto 21 - 25 novembre 2018. La composizione vincitrice (che verrà premiata con il Primo Premio) e quella premiata per il giovane compositore più promettente (sotto i 30 anni) verrà registrata e pubblicata da Ars Spoletium Publishing and Recording e promossa a livello internazionale. La visita include un volo per Bologna da Londra Heathrow su British Airways, si potrà inoltre visitare il Museo della Fisarmonica, provare la più grande fisarmonica al mondo, visitare le fabbriche di fisarmoniche per vedere come vengono fatte le fisarmoniche, dimostrazioni negli showroom della fabbrica, vedere come le ance vengono prodotte e come sono fatti i soffietti, visitare il negozio di accessori per fisarmonica Carini, visite facoltative all'ora di pranzo ad alcune delle attraenti città vicine come la città di pellegrinaggio religioso di Loreto per vedere la Basilica e la Santa Casa, visitare le località balneari di sera per cena e intrattenimento della fisarmonica, suonare fisarmoniche di alta qualità prestate per la durata del soggiorno da parte di alcuni produttori e visitare San Marino per visite turistiche, pranzo e shopping al ritorno. ![]() La fisarmonica britannica cromatica a 3 file B/C/C è uno strumento ibrido, che combina una grande disposizione dei pulsanti melodie acustiche con una tastiera a bassi di stradella. Il sistema è stato sviluppato in Italia nei primi anni del XX secolo, ma non ha raggiunto una grande notorietà fino a quando non è diventato famoso ¬grazie a Jimmy Shand alla fine degli anni '30. I workshop per questo sistema vengono organizzati raramente e John Kirkpatrick è il principale esponente per l'Inghilterra. John Kirkpatrick è un musicista molto rispettato di strumenti diatonici come la fisarmonica a tre file, i melodeon e Anglo concertina, ed è anche un cantante e compositore ben noto. Durante la sua carriera che risale al 1970, ha registrato numerosi album da solista ed è apparso su molti altri come musicista di sessione. ![]() Lawrie Adam, son of a Scottish coal miner, and born on the brink of WWII, showed the talent and drive to succeed professionally in the world of entertainment. He worked as a salesman in a drapery store until his ability with his accordion resulted in him winning an appearance on a national TV talent show, after which he turned professional. Later, after a rocky start in London working in west-end stores to make ends meet, he slowly made his mark, appearing with the big stars of the day. He broadcast on BBC radio, appearing on the famous ‘Blackpool Night’ and other radio shows. In 1964, he married dancer Wendy, and they have two daughters. They travelled many miles together, performing in shows in the UK. Two tours of Canada and the U.S.A. followed, with appearances at the famous Carnegie Hall, New York. He diversified into comedy, and produced and toured his own shows. In 1976, whilst appearing with comedian Ken Dodd, Lawrie Adam experienced a religious conversion. He was ordained in 1982 into the Church of England. He presented TV programmes for ITV and directed 200 video programmes. In 2000, was voted finalist in "Preacher of the Year." ![]() Started in 2013, this pioneering project in Portugal was produced by Professor Nelson Conceição in partnership with the Council of Loulé plus with the support of the Freguesia São Clemente and St.ª Bárbara de Nexe, the Association Mito Algarvio, Sociedade Recreativa Bordeirense, Beltuna Accordions, and Apexa. This recorded work features 33 young accordionists, among which 30 are National Accordion Champions and several have won many competition prizes: Ana Rita Correia, André Duarte, André Filipe, André Martins, Andreia Cabrita, Beatriz Filipe, Carina Duarte, Carolina Farias, Catarina Coelho, Daniel Silva, David Mendes, Filipe Cortes, Gonçalo Guerreiro, Hernâni Cerqueira, Hugo Afonso, Inês Faria, Jessica Guerrero, Jéssica Silvestre, João Palma, Lara Coelho, Mariana Coelho, Mateus Marrachinho, Matilde Sousa, Melissa Simplício, Miguel Coelho, Pedro Gonçalves, Pedro Palma, Pedro Ramos, Rodrigo Veloso, Tiago Conceição, Tiago Silva, Tito Alexandre and Tomas Alexandre. This album mainly focuses on Portuguese composers, highlighting 17 Algarve composers, and also some international composers, it ends up some of whom are well known to the general public and others less known. The Argentinean tango specialists Duo Ranas perform this month, as follows: August 18th - Milonga en la Casa del Tango, Rosario, Santa Fe August 19th, 11.30pm – Domilonga Tango Club, Av Velez Sarsfield 222, Buenos Aires August 25th, midnight - Milonga “3 arroyos”, Tres arroyos 3861, Ciudad, Buenos Aires The Duo Ranas - Leandro Schnaider – bandoneon and Pablo Schiaffino – piano – was formed in Buenos Aires in 2007 to play tango music. They made their first recording in 2007, which led to tours of Europe and South Korea, performing in theatres, castles, milongas, basements, and bars in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Austria, Estonia, Bulgaria, Luxemburg, Belgium, Czech Republic, Poland and in South Korea. They perform frequently in Argentina and Uruguay. |

The trio Kosmos concert perform concert this weekend Bilbao and Vitoria, Spain, as follows: August 18th - Iglesia de la Encarnación de Atxuri, Bilbao, Spain August 19th, 7.30pm – Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain Kosmos are Harriet Mackenzie – violin, Meg Hamilton – viola, and Miloš Milivojevic – accordion. Serbian-born Miloš Milivojevic is a first prize winner at international competitions in Germany, France, Italy and Denmark. In Serbia he studied with Vojin Vasovic, and with Owen Murray at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he graduated and was awarded with Dip RAM. In 2007 he became the first accordionist ever to win the RAM Club Prize at the Academy and in the 2008 was the Winner of the prestigious Derek Butler London Prize at the Wigmore Hall, London. ![]() Cory Pesaturo, from Rhode Island, began playing at the age of nine, and became successful in competitions, winning the 2011 Primus Ikaalinen World Championship in Finland and was the first ever American contestant. He has also won the CIA Coupe Mondiale World Digital Accordion Championship in Auckland, New Zealand, and is to date the only person to win international competitions on Acoustic Accordion, Digital Accordion, and Jazz. ![]() Marco Lo Russo’s recent career has seen him performing internationally with appearances in Poland, Mexico, Cuba, Africa, and Canada, pursuing various musical projects, especially his ‘Made in Italy’ project. Recent accomplishments include composing the Italian entry for the the Eurovision Song Contest, producing the soundtrack of the film ‘CityZen’, directed by Ruggero Gabbai, broadcast on SKY TV, and the composition of the ‘Ave Maria’ dedicated to Pope Francis. He has also served a jury member for the International Competition at the 39th edition of the International Accordion Festival in Castelfidardo, Italy. The 15th Warsaw Singers Festival takes place from August 25th to September 2nd.
