 L'ospite musicale a Miss Italia 2012 finale, RAI TV 10 settembre, è stato il famoso cantante italiano Biagio Antonacci che con il fisarmonicista Massimo Tagliata, ha eseguito un medley di tre delle canzoni più famose di Antonacci "Quanto tempo e ancora", "Pazzo di lei" e "Se io Se lei".Il primo video presenta questi duetti impressionanti e, alla fine, Biagio Antonacci dice in italiano che la fisarmonica è uno dei grandi strumenti e che è interamente fatta a Castelfidardo! Poi tutta la band è salita sul palco e ha suonato il suo successo più grande "Non Vivo Più Senza Te", che include molte parti suonate con òa fisarmonica ed è stato il più grande successo, avendo venduto la maggior parte dei CD in Italia questa estate. Grande pubblicità per la fisarmonica. |

 Il Festival Internazionale di Fisarmonica 2012 di Castelfidardo è stato inaugurato il 13 settembre con un concerto a Loreto come parte di una serie di concerti 'Prima Festival' per promuovere la manifestazione al pubblico italiano.Il primo concerto includeva Danilo Di Paolonicola, Mirco Patarinin e Mari D'Amario e l'evento è stato sponsorizzato da Scandalli Accordions, Paolo Soprani e Roland Europe. Il programma di ogni musicista era vario e ha mostrato veramente una vasta gamma di stili musicali di cui il diatonique nelle mani di professionisti, è capace. Un concerto molto piacevole per iniziare la serie 'Prima Festival' di concerti e promozioni del festival. |

 'Accordions International 2012' si svolge presso Mundeseley Holiday Village, Paston Rd, Norfolk NR11 8BT, vicino alle sedi precedenti Hemsby e Caister, dal 05-08 Ottobre.Gli ospiti principali sono Giancarlo Caporilli (Italia, in alto a sinistra), Pearl Fawcett-Adriano (foto al centro), Harry Hussey (in basso), David Price, Alan Young, Sue Coppard, Roy Hendrie, Rosemary Wright, Bert Santilly, The Clarinet Connection , e il quintetto di fisarmonica Norvic Concordia (MD Peter Ayers). L'organizzatore è Heather Smith. Il festival prevede concerti diurni e serali, laboratori, danze scozzesi, e una fiera che include The Accordion Shop, Birmingham Accordion Centre, Limex, MAP Editions, and Robaccord Publications . I laboratori comprendono Elementary Orchestra (MD Rosemary Wright), Intermediate Orchestra (Brian Jenkins), Swing Band (Heather Smith / Geoff Gook), Jazz Group (Bert Santilly), Buskers Band (Bert Santilly), Scottish Band (Roy Hendrie), Band Vintage(Hanger Jean), e Composers Corner (Sue Coppard). C'è anche una piscina. L'organizzatore originale di questo festival, il compianto Malcolm Gee, aveva notoriamente descritto l'evento come "... l'indulgenza totale di fisarmoniche". On the air at Vancouver's CFRO Co-op Radio (100.5 fm, Starchoice 845 and Telus TV: Channel 718) since December 2006, their broadcasts are also podcasted to an international audience of hundreds at accordionnoir.orgAiming to represent the global diversity of regional musical genres and styles the instrument is used in, the show celebrates and champions the renaissance of the accordion.  The Kyiv Classic Duo – accordionists Igor Sayenko and Oleksiy Kolomoeits – have done several concert tours of Great Britain, each time raising money for the victims of the Chernoby nuclear disaster via the Hippokrat Society charity. Igor Sayenko writes, “Last June we have been to UK with concerts as before. Speaking about raising fund for the Hippokrat Society, we are proud to say we have raised £3,893! This is less, than on 2010 and 2011 years, but I think it's still worth to do it. So, after some requests for year 2013 and some discussions we are starting to plan our next journey to the UK for July 2013”.The Kyiv Classic Duo are one of the world’s finest accordion duos, and have acquired a loyal following in the UK.   The Accordions Worldwide news for September 18th 1998 included mention of a BBC TV program that referred to Charles Wheatstone, inventor of the English concertina and a renowned scientist in the 19th Century. Wheatstone was one of several Europeans who experimented with the Chinese imported sheng, resulting in the invention of such instruments as the concertina, bandoneon, harmonica, harmonium, and, of course, the accordion. We should all be thankful for their efforts and ingenuity. SCIENCE AND CONCERTINAS - UK Contributed by Chris Timson A new series of the popular science program ‘Local Heroes’ has just started on BBC 2 (UK). The October 5th edition has a segment devoted to Charles Wheatstone, inventor of the concertina and is mostly set in the computer games shop in Gloucester where he was born. Chris Timson was asked to provide consultancy for the show and he also provided the concertinas shown in the broadcast. Of particular interest is the symphonium, loaned by Colin Dipper. The symphonium is the direct predecessor of the concertina, and Chris believes there are no more than 20 left in the world. |

 Accordionist Paul Chamberlain will be performing with the Scottish Tango Ensemble on Saturday September 15th for the Mid-Argyll Arts Association in Ardrishaig Church Hall. Paul will also be giving a solo lunchtime recital in Sheffield Cathedral on Tuesday September 25th at 1.15pm, featuring works by Bach, Scarlatti, Semionov, Angelis and Weber. October 3rd sees Paul giving a joint concert in Inverness Town House with Matthew MacLennan which will feature a mixture of Scottish and Classical repertoire.  Accordionist Gjovalin Nonaj performs a recital on September 23rd, 3pm, at the Centre Européen de Médiation (asbl), 119 rue de l’Hôtel des monnaies, 1060 Brussels. Gjovalin Nonaj was born in Lezhe, Albania, in 1968, and comes from a family of singers and traditional musicians. He took his first steps as a musician at the age of 5 years on the çifteli (lute with 2 chords). Later, he studied clarinet, horn and accordion. Now resident in Belgium, he has dual Belgian/Albanian nationality, and has studied accordion at the conservatories of Tirana and Brussels. His music and his singing are rooted in the Balkan traditions, though he also has a large repertoire of popular and classical music. He performs as a solo artist and with other musicians, such as the ‘Lule bore Quartet’. He has made several CDs and tours often with groups or solo through Europe, the Balkans, and Africa.
