  La crociera della fisarmonica di Suomen Harmonikkaliitto (SHL - Associazione finlandese della fisarmonica) per oltre 1.200 appassionati di fisarmonica si è svolta durante il fine settimana della Giornata mondiale della fisarmonica (7 e 8 maggio 2022).La crociera era originariamente prevista per fine gennaio 2022 ma è stata posticipata a causa del Covid-19. La crociera offre una varietà di musica dal vivo, atmosfera meravigliosa, balli, canti e gioia! I finalisti sono stati selezionati per il concorso Harmonikka 2022 Golden e Silver durante la crociera. Le finali si terranno a Ikaalinen e saranno trasmesse in diretta a luglio. I finalisti di Silver Harmonika sono: Saima Kairimo (Asikkala), Samuel Heikola (Pori), Sofia Sankari (Vihti), Kevin Niittyviita (Hollola), Joel Koivisto (Kokkola), Maija Liedes (Kokkokkola) e Venla Tiimonen (Punkharju). I finalisti di Golden Harmonika sono: Marko Haapapuro (Kolari), Ronja Pehkonen (Jyväskylä), Saana Kastelli (Pyhäjoki), Johannes Koivisto (Kokkola), Ville Vehkalahti (Lavia) e Heidi Rintamäki (Pori). “Astor Piazzolla, Il Padre del Nuevo Tango” al Museo Della Fisarmonica di Castelfidardo - Italiaby Accordions Worldwide |

 Paolo Picchio e il libro Astor Piazzolla. Il padre del Nuevo Tango (Edizioni Curci) saranno protagonisti domenica 15 maggio 2022 alle ore 18.30 al Museo della Fisarmonica di Castelfidardo, Ancona. Musicologo, fisarmonicista e compositore, Picchio presenterà il volume nel quale ripercorre le vicende biografiche e artistiche del geniale compositore e bandoneonista argentino (Mar del Plata, 11 marzo 1921 – Buenos Aires, 4 luglio 1992), dagli esordi alla popolarità mondiale. Prefazione di Laura Escalada Piazzolla e Daniel Villaflor Piazzolla.L’evento sarà arricchito dagli interventi musicali di Cristiano Lui (bandoneon), Annalisa Biancofiore (voce) e Giorgio Fiori (violoncello). Un’occasione imperdibile per rivivere la storia e la musica di Astor Piazzolla all’interno del prestigioso museo che conserva le sue partiture originali e il bandoneon appartenuto all’artista. In questa occasione verrà riposizionato nella teca questo prezioso e iconico strumento musicale. Piazzolla è un caso più unico che raro del panorama musicale. Ha un’immediatezza universale: piace a tutti al primo ascolto, è stato ed è eseguito dai più grandi interpreti della classica e del jazz. Grazie a lui il sensuale e popolare ballo delle milongas di Buenos Aires oggi è di casa nelle più blasonate sale da concerto. Ha lavorato con artisti di diversi generi, come il jazzista americano Gerry Mulligan, il percussionista Tullio De Piscopo, le cantanti Mina e, soprattutto, Milva. Con le sue commistioni di tango, jazz, classica ha dato vita al cosiddetto Nuevo Tango: ha attirato dure critiche dai puristi argentini – che arrivarono a definirlo “l’assassino del tango” – ma in verità lui il tango lo ha riformato, rigenerato e sublimato. Seguendo una cronologia precisa e dettagliata, il libro suggerisce all’ascolto le opere più significative di ciascuna fase della sua carriera: le contaminazioni tra i generi, le collaborazioni con i protagonisti del jazz, le produzioni per il cinema, la musica da concerto, la canzone, la poesia e la danza. La trattazione è accompagnata da una discografia ragionata e completa, in cui Piazzolla figura sia come compositore, sia come interprete. Paolo Picchio (Castelfidardo, Ancona, 1968) è musicologo, fisarmonicista e compositore. Docente di Teoria, Armonia, Storia della musica e Fisarmonica, dal 1992 al 2013 è stato direttore artistico del Premio e Concorso Internazionale “Città di Castelfidardo” e dal 1994 al 2001 del Premio Internazionale “Astor Piazzolla”.  Guardia Nueva diretta da Raimo Vertainen (foto a destra) terrà il suo 20° concerto di celebrazione del Giubileo presso la pista di pattinaggio di Kokkola a Kokkola, in Finlandia, il 21 maggio 2022 alle 18:00.Il concerto di apertura è dedicato all'Ucraina e ai bambini e comprende anche sei composizioni ucraine. Il concerto di Guardia Nueva include nuovi arrangiamenti di musica finlandese, tanghi, world music, opere argentine, musica da film, vecchi brani preferiti e strumentali nello stile di Guardia Nueva. Tra gli ospiti figurano Jarkko Ahola, Arja Koriseva, Jennie Storbacka e Teemu Roivainen insieme al ballerino Shuichi Murai.  Il 27° Ærø Harmonika Festival si terrà a Marstal, in Danimarca, dal 20 al 22 maggio 2022.A seguito della cancellazione degli eventi 2020 e 2021 a causa del Covid-19, gli organizzatori non vedono l'ora di partecipare ad un evento pieno di divertimento, buona musica, balli e concerti. Il festival inizierà il 19 maggio con un piccolo concerto di solisti e gruppi nella chiesa di Marstal, prima dell'apertura ufficiale il 20 maggio. La musica per fisarmonica sarà distribuita su tre palchi e comprenderà brani svedesi di Evert Taube (autore, artista, compositore e cantante svedese - foto a destra) e brani virtuosi italiani di Frosini, musica dagli Stati Uniti, rock e swing, easy listening ecc., una tenda da ballo di musica popolare danese, canti nel club di canottaggio o potrete rilassarvi e ascoltare i numerosi solisti e gruppi nel club di vela con intrattenimento per tutte le età. M° Sylvia Pagni e il M° Luigi Piovano uniti al Teatro di Atri per il nuovo video di “Mi Pasion”by Accordions Worldwide |

 Il 2 maggio 2022 è stato girato al Teatro Comunale di Atri, il primo video dell’opera discografica “Mi Pasion”, (Loris Cattunar) una produzione discografica sulle note del tango di brani editi e inediti realizzate e composte dal M° Sylvia Pagni .Il primo brano registrato dal duo di artisti M°Luigi Piovano e il M° Sylvia Pagni è stato Oblivion del M° Astor Piazzola . Nel video sono stati coinvolti la coppia di campioni italiani di Tango Argentino Alessandra Moro e Bruno Daniel Ciarfella . I brani inediti del disco “Mi Pasion”sono di edizione R.T.I. Mediaset ed il lancio del discografico sarà fatto con il video girato dalla S.L.M. Sound Light Music al Teatro comunale di Atri gentilmente concesso per l’evento dal comune. Lo stesso M° Luigi Piovano 1° Violoncellista della Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia è rimasto compiaciuto di scoprire questa perla storica abruzzese “ Il Teatro di Atri”. Il tango “ Mi Pasion” che porta il titolo del disco è firmato dal Trio di Autori M°Sylvia Pagni ,Elisa Riccitelli e Loris Cattunar . La prima del concerto “ Mi Pasion” sarà presentato il 18 giugno presso il Centro Culturale Mittelcult di Trieste nella Sala Beethoven per la rassegna dedicata al Centenario di Raffaello de Banfield “RdB. 100”. Raffaello De Banfield Tripcovich ,fu un personaggio al centro della vita e della storia culturale e imprenditoriale di Trieste e della regione Friuli Venezia Giulia e grande uomo di cultura del Novecento triestino ,che scrisse pagine importanti anche della storia delle Assicurazioni Generali .Il M° Sylvia Pagni “La Gorni Kramer in Gonella” è onorata di chiudere il calendario di Eventi musicali “RdB 100” esibendosi con la sua amata fisarmonica una serie di “Tanghi Argentini “ editi e tanghi inediti ripresi dalla sua opera discografica “ Mi Pasion”. |

For the occasion, some students from the jazz courses of the Cimarosa Conservatory will also perform. • On May 31st, at 8pm, Marco Lo Russo will perform a live solo concert on the final evening of the OtherMovie film festival in Lugano, Switzerland, on the occasion of the screening of the film La Machetera, of which Lo Russo himself edited the soundtrack, already awarded at the Monaco International film festival. • On June 2nd at 5pm, on the occasion of the Italian Republic Day, another live solo concert at the enchanting Cistercian Abbey of Santa Maria di Piona in Colico, on the shore of Como’s Lake in the province of Lecco, Italy. Marco Lo Russo, with this appointment, confirms his love for Made in Italy, which he has been promoting for years with the will to continue to enhance places of art and culture scattered throughout the Bel Paese. The repertoire, from classical music to world music, jazz pieces, original soundtracks and compositions by Lo Russo himself, will allow you to experience an emotional journey around the world, from the nights of the African desert, to the passionate atmospheres of tango. |

  Volodymyr Runchak, accordionist, conductor and composer (from the Ukrainian National Academy of Music named after Pyotr Tchaikovsky in Kiev) held a Masterclass for students of the Accordion Department of the Academy of Music in Katowice, Silesian, Southern Poland on May 11th this week.The event was held in the Chamber Hall II of the Academy and included a lecture on personal elements in new music with examples of Runchak’s own accordion compositions, as well as individual open performance workshops with the students. |

 Applications are now open for the 15th Premio Andrea Parodi World Music Competition in Italy.Premio Andrea Parodi was created in honour of the distinguished Sardinian artist Andrea Parodi, who passed away 16 years ago. The Artistic Commission established by the Foundation will select ten finalists among the applicants in an anonymous way. Finalists will perform in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy from October 13th to 15th, 2022, at the "Premio Andrea Parodi" Festival 2022, in front of a Jury composed of authoritative industry professionals (singers, musicians, writers and songwriters, poets, managers, producers, press offices & journalists). The prize for the winner includes concerts and performances in some of the partner music festivals in their 2023 editions, such as European Jazz Expo (Sardinia), Folkest (Friuli), not forgetting the very same Premio Andrea Parodi 2023. In addition the winner will be entitled to a €2,500 scholarship and the winner of the Critics' Awards will have a professional videoclip of their competition song produced, offered by the Andrea Parodi Foundation.   The Australian Accordion Teachers Association Inc. (AATA) has announced their 2022 Australian International Accordion Video project entitled “Bringing the World Together Through the Accordion”.President of the AATA, Tatjana Marx (picture above) says the video project will give accordionists of all ages, all levels and all nations the opportunity to submit a video to be compiled together as a showcase of how when we work together, all differences can be put aside! This event is open to accordionist soloists, duets, trios and ensembles as well as groups that feature the accordion. The final edited video of performances will be released online in early June 2022. The Australian Accordion Teachers Association has decided to postpone their annual international competition for 2022, and instead create a platform for accordionists from all over the world to come together in celebration of our favourite instrument. Entries close on May 30th, 2022 and videos must be submitted by June 3rd, 2022. For further details visit the AATA website. |

 The national Lithuanian accordion competition in Varena is held every two years, where excellent young Lithuanian accordionists are participating. It is one of the most important accordionists’ events in Lithuania with 150 accordionists competing in different age categories. | Sam Reider (accordionist & composer) will perform the premiere of his latest composition “Concerto for Accordion” with the Del Sol Quartet at the Center for New Music in San Francisco, USA on May 15th, 2022 at 4.30pm. For the past two years Sam has been pursuing a graduate degree in composition and the work is part of this project. “The piece is bright, colorful and a lot of fun to play. | The No.1 Ladies Accordion Orchestra will give a short concert tour to North Wales on May 21st and 22nd, 2022. Performances will be given at the Llanfairfechan Town Hall in Llanfairfechan and the Old Courthouse in Caernarfon.
