"Il peso (solo 5,5 kg), le dimensioni ridotte, il suo aspetto sexy ed il meraviglioso suono Roland ne fanno uno strumento che non potrà mancare nel palcoscenizo del mio nuovo Tour Mondiale": questi gli elementi che hanno portato Jean Michel ad avere, durante il Salon De La Musique di Parigi, uno stretto colloquio con Luigi Bruti, direttore Marketing della Roland Europe e "padre" della V-Accordion per "accaparrarsi" sin dal primo giorno uno dei primi prototipi di questo nuovo modello che vede il proprio "battesimo musicale" con un "padrino" di eccezione, l'alfiere della musica elettronica.  I nostri lettori noteranno che molti dei nostri articoli di questa settimana sono dedicati alla fisarmonica digitale. Questo non è o un cambiamento di politica in riguardo delle informazioni presentati dalla Accordions Worldwide, ma semplicemente una dimostrazione d' impegno internazionale della Roland nel promuovere la fisarmonica virtuale e l'interesse dimostrato dai fisarmonicisti nel uso innovativo di questi nuovi strumenti.  Si è tenuta a Salon de la Musique di Parigi il 12 settembre la presentazione mondiale del nuovo Roland FR1. Il Roland FR-1 definisce un nuovo standard di apprendimento e performance dal vivo, pesa solo 5.5kg, con delle ridottissime dimensioni. La V-Accordion è il più piccolo strumento del suo genere a fornire potente tecnologia digitale in un design tradizionale di fisarmonica, sempre più compatto. Il Roland FR1 è l'ideale strumento per: musicisti in movimento; bande in cui l'esecutore danze durante la riproduzione, giovani ed anziani in grado di utilizzare a pieno le potenzialità della fisarmonica. Questo strumento può apportare importanti modifiche al mondo della fisarmonica, aventi tutte queste caratteristiche a condizioni interessanti, pertanto vuole anche attrarre i giovani ad imparare la fisarmonica. Il festival organizzato da Roland Europa centrale, che si terrà il 27 settembre presso la spettacolare sede della Torre Eiffel a Parigi , dove verranno mostrate tutte le caratteristiche della nuova FR-1. |

 La Roland Corporation US è orgogliosa di annunciare i finalisti che parteciperanno al Roland US V-Accordion Festival. In ordine alfabetico, Steve Albini, Iskra Aleksandrov, Mark Kenneth, Alex Lavruk, Ivan Milev, Giuseppe Natoli e Murl Allen Sanders. Il coordinatore del festival è Ron Lankford. Questo evento, che si terrà alla Roland Corporation US Headquarters, 5100 S. orientale Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90040. ll 20 settembre, riunirà alcuni dei fisarmonicisti americani di maggior talento . Il vincitore di questo evento avrà in premio una fisarmonica FR-7 o FR-7b e la possibilità di andare il 7 e 8 novembre 2008 alle finali di Roma, Italia, per competere contro altri 11 paesi per il titolo mondiale e la possibilità di vincere 5000 euro.  The weekend September 5th to 7th 2008 saw the first Roland V-Accordion Weekend to be held in the UK at St Audries Bay in Somerset.A weekend of workshops and concerts, devoted to the Roland V-Accordion, was held followed by a competition to decide the UK entrant to the world-wide Festival to be held in Rome, Italy on November 8th. The clear winner of the competition was Johnny Lee Leslie, who was presented with a certificate and a new FR-7b V-Accordion by Guy Small of Roland UK (photo above). The winner of the Junior Competition was Soraya O'Connor, who received an FR-2 as her prize. Other graded open competitions were also held, featuring the V-Accordion, with prizes provided by The Accordion Shop, Trevani, and Carillon Studios. Following the competition, a group of V-Accordion players assembled for the accompanying photo - 16 players in one picture. Group of the Roland-Event Pariticipants ...here some names of the group: In the front with the button Roland is Johnny-Lee Leslie. Immediately behind him, with the dark glasses -John Romero, organiser of the event. On the front row (left to right) in the cap- Frank Moore and several of the Langton/Petulengro ladies (including the Junior Champion, Soraya O'Connor) . Mike Oregan on the far right. On the back row, directly above John Romero, is Robert Langton. Two places to the right of Robert , behind the white accordion, is Gennaro Fiondella (winner of the Senior Championship). The event was organised by John and Jackie Romero of Carillon Studios in conjunction with Roland UK. |

 Sabato 13 settembre presso la sala Puccini del Conservatorio di Milano, via Conservatorio 12 con inizio alle ore 21 si terrà la finale italiana del V-Accordion Festival, la manifestazione promossa e organizzata da Roland e volta a premiare il fisarmonicista più bravo e creativo. Ai partecipanti alla finale, che hanno superato la fase eliminatoria, sarà chiesto di esibirsi con la V-Accordion, la rivoluzionaria fisarmonica virtuale Roland. Presenta la serata Federica Zanella. Tra i giurati Sergio Scappini, Emanuale Spantaconi e Diego Montrone (direttore d'orchestra).Il vincitore della finale nazionale italiana acquisirà il diritto a partecipare alla finale internazionale che si terrà a Roma l'8 novembre presso l'auditorium parco della musica.  The Vaasa City Orchestra from Finland conducted by Hannu Koivula, will tour next week in Washington and Oregon. The program includes orchestral music by Finnish composers Jean Sibelius, Toivo Kuula and Väinö Raitio.Finnish concert accordionist Veli Kujala is the featured soloist of the tour. He will perform with the Vaasa City Orchestra the accordion concerto ‘D'n'A’, by Markus Fagerudd, and three pieces by Brazilian composer Egberto Gismonti, orchestrated for accordion and sinfonietta by Veli Kujala. The tour dates are: September 16th - Seattle Town Hall, Seattle September 17th - High School Auditorium, Bellingham September 19th - Lewis and Clark College, Portland September 20th - Liberty Theater, Astoria, Oregon |

 Following a National Qualifying Round being a series of video auditions which took place between April and September, the semi-finalists have been selected to take part in the Roland National Finals on September 25th, 7pm, at the Hansa Haus German Canadian Club, 6650 Hurontario St, Mississauga, ON L5W-1N3.John Lettieri (picture left), winner of the 1st Canadian Roland V-Accordion Festival with an electrifying medley performance, will attend the 2008 National Finals as an honorary jury member and will take to the stage once again for a performance that is sure to be one of the night’s highlights. The 1st place winner of the National Finals will receive a Roland FR-7 V-Accordion and an all expenses paid trip to take part in the International Finals on November 7th and 8th in Rome, Italy. |

| Il 19 Settembre, per il Festival Antilope 2008 a La Chaux de Fonds (Svizzera), Claudio Jacomucci e Kathleen Delaney (coreografa) presentano la loro nuova composizione "Cool Memories", un omaggio al sociologo e filosofo francese Jean Baudrillard, recentemente scomparso. La prima parte dell'opera era già stata presentata a Synthese 2007, Festival di Musica Elettroacustica di Bourges (Francia). Si tratta di una composizione di 35 minuti per fisarmonica, danza, immagini proiettate e suoni registrati. I prossimi concerti con musiche di Jacomucci (Wonderlands, Infernal Circles e Cool Memories con Kathleen Delaney) saranno a Helsinki il 6 allo STOA Theatre e 8 Novembre all'Academia Sibelius in occasione del 30 anniversario della classe di fisarmonica) e all'Accademia Musicale di Cracovia (Polonia, 14 Novembre). |
